I orchestrated that for john McGlinn's 1985 Carnegie Recital Hall performances. It was an addition to the original London production of NO NO NANETTE, scored by Russell Bennett, and McGlinn had no full score for that number, so he asked me to do it.

Moot played a rather larger part in last night's LAW AND ORDER series finale.

Or should that have had a spoiler alert?   ::)

Tuesday morning greetings!  As my mother-in-law used to say, I'm in low gear this morning.  After looking after my mother yesterday, I have to look after our family today by going to the grocery for us and doing some other errands around town.  But first I have to write a graduate school admission recommendation for the fantastic woman who took over my job when I retired.

Don't tell me--Moot finally admitted she was a lesbian?

The previously mentioned original artwork for Sunday in the Park with George.

Artwork by James McMullen who did a lot of work for Lincoln Center

And James McMullan still does a lot of work for Lincoln Center.

I will stop into Triton Gallery every once in a while to take a look at their collection of McMullan sketches and posters. It's quite neat (for lack of a better word at this time of the morning) to see how his posters come together.

DR Cillaliz i am also cheering for Derek and Nicole on DANCING WITH THE STARS. And i truly think they will win.

re: last night's show I think they did the best. Although i was so upset for them that they partially missed that last lift. That freestyle routine was amazing and they would have gotten all 10s.

It's sort of an advantage for them that derek has been in the finals so many times. And he knows exactly what to do for a freestyle. Anna seemed so out of her element, i felt bad for her. I didn't love their routine but i thought it was better than what the judges were saying about it.

I wasn't crazy about erin's final dance. I think she lost the title there (not sure that she ever could have win).

I think based on the season and on last night's momentum i would be surprised if nicole did not win. Although it is definitely possible that evan could pull it off. But i don't think that many people would have voted for him based on what he did last night. I know i was voting for both evan and nicole all season. But last night i only voted for nicole.

In the past when we have done this TOD I have shown my favorite American film posters. This time I will show some of my favorite Bollywood B movie posters:

And then I find these two posters, both for classic Bollywood films of the late 40s, favorites. Both are done in an unusual style that reminds me of German expressionism.

Not sure that the posters are effective representations of the actual films, but they do have an interesting artsy quaility to them, and could make nice home decor.

Greetings from Toyland! I have misplaced a carton of orchestra scores and I have no idea where the hell they may be. I took the office apart yesterday, and then I thought I might have carted them home. They aren't there, and I sincerely doubt the cleaning man took them from the office, so where the fat hell are they?

I am most perplexed.

This morning I finished reading something I've been trying to get to for a very long time--Truman Capote's BREAKFAST AT TIFFANY'S.  Would it be sacrilegious to wish they would do another film adaption?

Only if they include the opera singer on roller skates.

Every time I run across the art(?)work for the Roundabout revival of Assassins, the first thing that comes to my mind is: PhotoShop For Dummies - The Pre-Manual.
