I would post a link to the story about the recent reading of the musical version of "An Officer and a Gentleman", but...

I remember seeing HOUSE OF GAMES and liking the twist and turns.  But the movie was spoiled for me by the former Mrs. Mamet.  I think she's a terrible actress.  I often wondered if she was the one who inspired Mamet's "just stand there and recite the dialogue" acting technique.

I have no idea what show she was on or what this woman is laughing about, but she sure was enjoying herself...

I'm up - there was hammering going on this morning - of course, it stopped as soon as the entire neighborhood was awake.  I just went back to sleep.

Well, they might as well get started on the GHOSTBUSTERS musical.  Afterall, they already have one number written.

Or has it been done already?

DR JRand--why don't you be a trendsetter and use the theme from GHOSTBUSTERS as the opening music for BLITHE SPIRIT?

And/or save it for the Megamix Bows/Curtain Call.

BK-

I have always wondered When Reviewers(like You) are saying that the transfer is excellent on a particular DVD or Ray Of Blu or there is too much red on the transfer or not a good shade of Blue in the sky-that alot depends on the TV set that you have and The DVD Player that you own.??

Just Asking- And also alot depends on the viewers perception of what he or she is watching???

I think part of my problem is stress, so I came into the office this morning and said we aren't taking any new cases until I catch up.  I then found out I had a conflict on a new case and had to get off of it and that one of the few divorce clients I have didn't like what I had to say and got a new lawyer.  Yeah on both counts. I like the work, but wasn't honestly looking forward to either of these cases.

First of all, I'm not a reviewer, just a person with thoughts on these movies.  That said, most of these people who are "reviewers" are not really reviewers as they have no idea what these things really looked like when they came out.  And that is the difference between me and them - I saw these films, and then I owned many of them in 16mm and 35mm prints.  And yes, you should have a properly calibrated TV - the player won't really be the problem.  And no, most people who watch these things have no clew.  But I feel it my duty to say it like it is, especially when the color is off.

Yes, DR DtM and DR JOSE - I have considered both of these options for use in my production of BLITHE SPIRIT and in the spirit of "re-thinking" and "re-inventing" old old stage plays - meaning those first produced before 1997 - in the second act for the Exorcism portion of the show, Madame Arcati will indeed be wearing a white jumpsuit and carrying a fire extinguisher.....the exorcism itself will be a musical number using the tune that you have suggested.

Back from a very good meeting, and then picking up a package (but no mail - they hadn't even begun putting that out yet, which means I won't get the long overdue mail I need till later today when the traffic will be horrible - or tomorrow morning).  Then I stopped at Gelson's and got some chicken breasts, mushrooms, and an onion to saute for my meal o' the day.

I don't know if TD Bank is national or local, but these commercials with the repellent Regis Philbin are particularly loathesome and unseemly.

We're having a taco party for dinner tonight to celebrate Rob's completion of his first quarter of paramedic classes.  In the next week, he'll do his hospital clinicals and have 1/5 of the program under his belt.

Hello to DR PENNYO.....I know that she and DR JANE and Sherlock are having wonderful time.

Yes we did and she said to say hello to everyone.  She looked great.  While I was bundled up she was enjoying our cooler weather.  She should be happy up in Washington :).  She also left us CHICKEN SOUP FOR THE SOUL THANKS MOM so we can read her story.

Penny left a little after 10:00.  We then took Sherlock for a short hike, short to beat out the rain, and then did errands including Costco.  We came home with three large containers of cherries & one of strawberries.
