BK, I would have recommended getting the invoices from the assistant prior to getting mad at her and posting things about her.

Next time, get back what you need in a nice way, then fire the person.

My walk to work this morning was uneventful. A guy who looked like Jesus wearing an overcoat, waiting at a bus stop and cleaning his fingernails with a knife, kept staring at me as I walked past, but he did not stab me or anything.

Strange weather last night.  Left rehearsal about 9 p.m.

To the east nothing but dark dark clouds.....behind me to the west the sun was shining giving everything a golden/yellow glow....spider web lightning - and a double rainbow!

Jesus was valued at over $700,000 which seems a bit low to me.

I got to Toyland and found messages from Fed Ex. The first from Tyrone, who told me he was trying to reach my colleague Curtis to deliver two packages, he rattled off a tracking number so quickly I had to listen to hte message 3 times to write it down along with a phone number and extension. The second mesdsage, from another day, was a young lady from Fed Ex with the same info.

I called the number back and was told the phone number, indeed Fed Ex, was not what I should be calling and that the packages in question were going to Canada. So I called the Fed Ex 800 number and learned that the phone calls were made in May and that the packages were being returned to the shipper in Virginia. I went ballistic because of the following: neither Fed Ex caller left a date for the phone call, no one ever tried to deliver these cartons to the office or left a delivery attempt notice. So, i just got off the phone with our order person in Los Altos, and she will deal with getting our storage boxes delivered,

"A Boil on the Butt of Humanity" would be a great biographical title.

"A Butt Boil" sounds like a menu item at a Vegan cafe.

The helper is not reading this site.  The helper has apologized and tells me I'll have the invoices today.  I have been nothing but nice to the helper, and even though my frustration level has been high over the last five days, I have not berated her or left her angry messages - I've been strong but nice in my dealings with her.  Yes, I should have gotten her address, but even if I had it I wouldn't go over there knocking on her door because that would not be good behavior or the right thing to do.  If the invoices aren't returned today, then the next step will be determined.  The apology seemed heartfelt and she explained what's been going on in a brief way.

A lovely package just arrived at my office desk cubicle from Amazon containing the AMERICAN IDIOT and A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC revival OCRs, along with a recording that someone here had something to do with but I won't mention it.  Also received Jay Spears' BOY HOWDY cd which includes that "I Like Mike" song I posted the video of days ago.

And now I am waiting to call Apple - you can't get through to their regular number because today people are reserving the new iPhone - you also cannot reserve through the website because their servers are going ballistic trying to handle all the traffic.

But I have the number of the technician who helped me yesterday - I think he comes in at ten.  While we solved the Internet connection problem, in doing all these resets something has happened to the Time Machine backups, which are not being performed and haven't been all day yesterday.  So, got to fix that, and the fact that my screen saver is also not working - it just goes to a black screen.  I checked on those preferences and they look fine to me so maybe I just have to restart the computer.  I don't want to do that until the tech is on the phone, however.

I'm happy to hear that she's finally communicated with you, but she's been behaving like a total flake; don't fall for it.
