What codes are you trying to prevent being enforced?

Code enforcement thinks my rose campion plants are weeds when they stop blooming. I had a nice conversation with the officer while I was in NY and promised to cut them down. I had hoped to wait until they were ready to re-seed because I share the seeds, but some annoying neighbor apparently doesn't get it. Well, they should be happy now.

I don't think that was the exciting news that Vixmom mentioned. Perhaps it was my dramatic week last week, in which I:

1. Had the blame placed on me for the Mercer film going over budget, even though I started in Oct. at the director's request and he didn't even show up until MARCH, and had to defend myself for doing nothing wrong...

2. Got theatrical distribution for our film

3. Was let go of my steady Closer gig after 5 seasons as they go from 6 editors on 6 shows to 3 editors on 6 shows (good luck with that!) because Conan is gonna blow the Turner budget and they had to make cutbacks

4. On our first festival a week ago (Breckenridge) I won the editing award. We premiered our film in NY to the investors and folks who worked on it on Thursday and it was the first time I felt like a rock star for bringing home the gold.

5. Saw 2 shows in NY, LEND ME A TENOR with Tony Shalhoub (got to reconnect with him and he told us how much he liked the film we did with him...he was the voice of Sacco in our film SACCO AND VANZETI) and the WEST SIDE STORY revival (Larry was right on that one)

6. And most importantly, had breakfast with our own DR Elmore!

On the plus side, I'll have time to do a lot of stuff like visit HHW, that I wasn't able to do while trying to do Closer and finish Jews and Baseball.

you will definitely see Vixmom there - the Vixter will be away at a 'Regional Gathering"  ( A Lutheran Youth Convention)  that weekend - I am afraid that she will not be back in time to see your movie - she'll probabaly arrive home about 40 minutes into the show - hence Vixdad will be left behind to collect her from the church

I wonder if Ben & Anthony will be on Long Island that weekend... OH!! and I wonde if Bill & Joe will be well enough by then

LOL!! Actually it was quite good.  It appears that my little darlings only made messes on hard surfaces.  I didn't find anything stinky on the carpet anywhere. I can still smell it a little, but some of that may just be that the room was closed up all day.

Ah, that's too bad.  You'll have to take photos next time they bloom so you can show they aren't weeds!

Edisaurus, I put plant stakes with the common and Latin names of the plants by my weeds. The code inspector has left me alone ever since.

Or you could plant the stakes in the inspector's heart and be rid of the problem one and for all. (If you got arrested I'm sure you could work a Vampire defense)
