Well, you've read the notes, the notes had condiments and were plastered, and now it is time for you to post until the plastered cows come home.

Topic of the Day:  the first play that I thought of was "Noises Off."  I was in a local production about 15 years ago (I played Tim Allgood) and we had a blast!

Like DR George, I first thought of "Noises Off," which is a blast, when staged properly. I also love Noel Coward's "Hay Fever" and Wodehouse's "The Play's the Thing." I can still laugh myself silly at "Comedy of Errors," "Taming of the Shrew" and parts of "As You Like It," so that Shakespeare fellow is no slouch, either.

DR Edisaurus, congrats on how your good news outweighs the not-so-good, which could turn out to be good news in a way you don't know just yet.

Heavy rain and LOUD LOUD thunder again last night and this morning.  Flood warnings, but not for us....YET.

So far today the inner web is behaving.  Last night as I came home about 10 p.m. - there were three Comcast trucks with yellow flashing lights parked on the street over in Millionaire Acres (I always take a short cut through there) - so maybe someone rich had demanded that the area service be fixed NOW!

Today, I'll be having a MOHS Micrographic surgery procedure on the side my nose to deal with a basil cell problem...again.

No big deal...except I'll have stitches on my nose for a few days.

DR CP - if you want a DVD copy of that BLITHE SPIRIT - PM me your snail mail.

It is some kind of kinescope with the Time Code at the bottom.

As I was looking through my inventory of stuff last night, I realized I had the same BLITHE SPIRIT video.  THere's something slightly off-kilter about it in that it's just slightly speeded up--when that maid makes her first entrance I thought she was going to overshoot the archway...

I also found that I had a couple of episodes of LOTSA LUCK, the NBC Dom Deluise sitcom from '71 or so. I watched two of them.  The performers--including Kathleen Freeman and Beverly Sanders--were funny, the scripts were not.

I wonder if I can find any episodes of HE & SHE online...

Thank you, DR JRand!  My first professional credit in years!

(My manager will contact you in the next few days about how big my name is to appear on the poster and in the program.  And I am available to put in a personal appearance but I do require special accommodations, but you can work through those with my manager...)

Good morning, all! After several weeks of rather calm behavior, the ass from Canada who wears 2-ton shoes had a big night: around 10pm, lots of noisy squeaky bed which settled down before 11, and than a racket as the stormtroopers left early this morning. It was such an unpleasant surprise that I put on my glasses to check the time: 4:01 am. I hope the racket meanshe's moving out, but i doubt it.

Today, around 11 am I have a trip to Toyland for an editing session with Mr Skip Kennon. I like to get there early, get the AC going, run through my to-do lists, and chill out. I proofed Joshie's new piano part for an unpublshed Herbert manuscript yesterday, and I'll proof the cello part as well.

I have nothing else to report, so I'll sign off with the TOD:
    THE COUNTRY WIFE
    THE BEGGAR'S OPERA
    SHE STOOPS TO CONQUER
    SCHOOL FOR SCANDAL
    THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST
    BLITHE SPIRIT
    PRIVATE LIVES
THE MAN WHO CAME TO DINNER
    ARSENIC AND OLD LACE
    LOOT
    WHAT THE BUTLER SAW
    LEND ME A TENOR

Tuesday morning greetings!  More thunderstorms here today - enough!  We'll be doing more synod prep, which for me means a trip to the grocery to get the ingredients for the food items I'm providing for Thursday's "Savory & Sweet Meet & Greet."

I am listening to the cast recording of the A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC revival...

Didn't we learn the lesson years ago as to why one doesn't include vast amounts of dialogue on a musical recording?!?

Ugh!

And why does every actress who plays Anne (with the exception of Victoria Mallory) do the part as if she were simply a spoiled, petulant, idiotic brat?  Ugh again!
