That's because people who volunteer to be on boards are very hard to find, Cillaliz.

Another wildfire. This one is on the Beeline Highway, north of Fountain Hills, south of Sunflower. We just drove that road yesterday.

I don't see a way to trace it from USPS to find out where it was delivered, it just says it was delivered to my zip code.

contact the seller and ask them to what address it was shipped.

Haven't heard from them yet...hmmm...

True, the appointments are all on the consent calendar.  There was a possibility there weren't going to be any openings on this commission this year, that's why I wasn't sure if I'd get on.

Oh I'm just a little ahead of you...I'm slogging through the espionage stuff.  I don't find that especially interesting.

I was surprised I didn't slog through any of the book and enjoyed every bit of it.  I would have to read them both again to confirm my opinion book two is the best.

This was near the beginning of the third book...I'm just not that into the Sapo stuff

Am I the only person left on this planet (besides MBarnum) who is not going to read these three books?

No.

This summer I'm trying a new thing at the office.  No appointments scheduled on Friday.  So far it hasn't worked, I've had to set things to accomodate people, but tomorrow....AHHH a day in the office to catch up on all the things I haven't been able to get to this week. That will be SOOO nice. And lunch with a couple friends with no rush to get back to work

I'm just glad I found someone to do the work so my preservationist friends will leave me alone about it.  They were right, I needed to save the windows, but I didn't expect the peer pressure about windows lol

I tried to be gentle...

Reglazing will give you good street cred with the preservationists. Congratulations on your win-win situation. And if they run out of work, would they like to come to Atlanta?

Another scorcher in the DC area--I think it hit 97 degrees today.

98 here yesterday. I took a 2 hour walk this morning, taking advantage of my "leisure time". Quite toasty, I must say!

When I really looked at my windows, I realized i was just frustrated and that I really did want to keep them. The replacements are pretty ugly compared to what I have

Vibes that they treat preservation commissioners with more respect than they do in Marietta, GA!

Thanks!  It's still an advisory commission, so they treat them ok, just don't listen.

I have  12 speed Osterizer  - it probably cost $20,  20 years ago when I bought it - I use it nearly every day and  its not a kitchen aid - but do you need a $100 + blender?

Greetings from the west side of beautiful Lima, OH!  All but 2 of the synod registrants are here and we knew one of those wouldn't arrive until tomorrow morning.  We have a few "surprise" guests, but we were prepared for that.  The biggest news is that the stained glass window over the altar was installed yesterday and it's stunning.  Tonight's service and "Savories and Sweets Meet and Greet" was a huge success.  After a little wine gathering in the common area of the hotel, we have now crashed to get ready for a really l-o-o-o-o-ong day tomorrow.

LOL, DR TCB, the retirement reception I attended today was for someone else!  I thoroughly enjoyed being the guest of honor at my own a year and a half ago, but today was all about Joanne, who I hired as the library secretary 31 years ago.  She was radiant today and I am very happy for her.
