It's beginning to feel like July might be around the corner.

It feels like November here.

JMK, I've got the glazing covered now.  The actual glazing wasn't my concern, it was the fact that the windows needing it the most are two stories in the air and I'm not that comfortable on high ladders. HWHC was going to take the windows out so I could work on them, but I really didn't like that idea.  The handyman looked at it and said he had a big ladder and it wasn't going to be a problem.  He also understands they can't stand on the slate roof to fix the windows that look out over a roof.

DR Cillaliz, I'm so glad for you that you have someone else to do the reglazing.  Unlike DR JMK, I've always found it a huge effort and I hate it!

When I prepared to sell my first house back in the 90's, I reglazed every stinking window, first and second story (and they were the kind that had the eight-pane panel on the top.)  It took me a week's vacation plus two or three weekends after that to complete the job.  But it turned out very nice and I proudly pointed out the windows to everyone who walked through the house.  The couple who bought the place seemed especially impressed.

A few months later, my ex-neighbor told me that the couple had ripped out and replaced all the windows!

WindowWizards are my best friends, these days...

I checked the adoptable animals on the website, and Dan (the cat)'s and Jennifer's numbers are gone. Sometimes it takes a while before they update the site.

Yay!

Cilla, I've probably missed several of your posts, but glazing is super-easy to remove and replace.  I've done it many times in the houses I've owned through the years.

Unless you have a 100 year old house with petrified glaze!

Thanks Dan.  My windows have 6 panels on top and 6 panels on bottom, so 12 panels for each window.  I just couldn't see me ever getting done with it.  I am very glad I'm keeping them, however.  When I look at them now, all I think is "What was I thinking, these are great windows"

sing old vaudeville songs like "You've gotta row, row, row" (What's the real name of that song?).

Cruising Down The River:

Quote
Cruising Down the River, Row Row Row
   (medley – male comedy)

Cruising down the river on a Sunday afternoon
With one you love, the sun above Waiting for the moon.
An old accordion playing a sentimental tune
Cruising down the river on a Sunday afternoon.
The birds above all sing of love a gentle, sweet refrain.
The winds around all make a sound like softly falling rain.
The two of us together we'll plan our honeymoon
Cruising down the river on a Sunday afternoon.

And then he’d row, row, row
Way up the river he would row, row, row
A hug he’d give her, then he’d kiss her now and then
   She would tell him when
He’d fool around and fool around, then they’d kiss again
And then he’d row, row, row a little further he would
Row, ho, ho, ho, ho –
Then he’d drop both his oars, take a few more encores
And then he’d row, row, row.

Then he’d drop both his oars, take a few more encores
And then he’d row, row, row.

Awesome, DerB! I tried to search but only got "Row, row, row your boat". Seems we're  providing a good service of answering each others' questions!

Thank you!

I was having a lovely lunch with my friend Melanie and HWHC walked in.   The man who has no time for lunch was on his way to a leisurely lunch.  He was acting really friendly, I said hi but didn't look right at him.   I was so right about him.  Melanie asked who he was. I told her his name. She didn't know him. I said he was getting a divorce and she said "He looks like the kind of guy who gets a divorce"  lol, I have no idea what that means.

Paul has been watching a documentary on Andy Warhol.  He said he couldn't figure out who had the same eyes... he finally realized it was HWHC!  I looked at some early Warhol photos, and by golly I think he's right.  I don't think I can ever look at him in quite the same way, lol

I think this situation is so over....

Edith has caught up with her work and I am not in the mood to work this afternoon, so we closed due to summer afternoon.   We have lots of work coming up in the next few months, so I figure we should relax now.

Unless you have a 100 year old house with petrified glaze!

Or have a 72 year old body with petrified coronary arteries.
