Good morning!  Just wanted to say good-bye.  I'm leaving for Ireland, England and Scotland shortly.  One thing I know for sure--it will be a lot cooler than the DC area!

If I have access to a computer I'll check-in and report!

Anyway, we gave the kids some prompts and let them pick and develop some characters -- then Cason and I got a script together based on their input, Cason wrote the music/songs, and they had a little 15 minute musical called Marie Laveau's Famous Gumbo. My favorite part was the Gumbo Spoon Rag (we had discovered the one little boy could tap dance so he did a dance off with the group we taught to play the spoons).

Mt second frenzy of laundry this weekend is over. I am going to sit in front ofa fan and let it cool me down for a bit. I may listen to something, God knows what it will be, and I may nap.

What a nice surprsie to find both Miss Karen and PennyO online this morning. Those two ladies sure cheer me up.

DR KevinH, how long is the British Isles jaunt going to last? Have a great time.

Cason and I just finished co-directing a 2-week children's theatre workshop for 34 young folks -- Louisiana Bayou theme. Most rewarding, but most "wear you out" like. Hats off to teachers who do this sort of work every day!

How fun you worked together!! :)

If this is a pleasure trip, be sure to take the "Jack the Ripper" walking tour in London.  You'll see a fascinating part of the city that you would not see otherwise.

Also, Edinburgh Castle is fantastic.

Last night we watched the wonderful HOBSON'S CHOICE with Charles Laughten, John Mills & Brenda De Banzie.  The film, Mills & DeBanzie all won BAFTA awards for being the best.

All region DVDs and Blu-Rays - I buy most of them from the various countries amazon outlets.  The deal is you sort of have to know what titles are all-region - sometimes they say, sometimes they don't.  dvdbeaver.com is a good resource for finding out which all-region titles there are.
