Saturday morning greetings!  I slept better last night than I usually do the first night in a hotel.  Now I'm drinking coffee and trying to be quiet so Richard can sleep.

Good for you, Vixmom, on the handling of the obnoxious teens and the F word.

Ditto.  It sounds like you handled it just right.

TOD:

I've had a couple of songs stuck in my head recently, and I'm driving my wife crazy because I go around humming them all day.

The first one was Jimmy Durante's "One of Those Songs," which was rather appropriate...

The other was "Plastic Jesus".

Such a song for a nice Jewish boy to be humming.

Nice bookcover DR DRUXY....I look forward to reading the book.

DR EDISAURUS....I LOVE the trailer.....great editing and GREAT music!  Congrats.....Oscar contender, I am telling right now!

Thanks for the comments, guys! The ending music was written by my friend Michael Roth. bk met him at our SACCO AND VANZETTI screening. (He collaborates with Alice Ripley.) He's Randy Newman's music director, and since I used so much of Randy's music as temp track, he seemed like a logical choice to score the film. We got a lot of great music with a tiny budget and very small ensemble.

I wonder if they would submit it for an Oscar? It doesn't seem like something that would get nominated but then again, I never imagined the Mercer doc would get an Emmy nomination! (I wish I could take more joy in that...)

Edi - I loved the trailer - I am now having concerns about meeting you in Stony Brook apparently we may be away that weekend  -  I may have to wait for the NYC premier - but we will see - I really want to go the  SBU one..

Will you be near the Berkshires? It will be there the next day, I think! :-)

But since there will be more HHWers (I hope!) in NYC, that can be our backup plan!

I didn't get to see the link you posted the other day with the kitten footage, DR Laura. I need to go back and search. We were in the middle of finishing the film and I couldn't watch it. How is Edisaurus? :-)

Good going with the teenagers, DR Vixmom. You taught them a lesson, but in a classy way!

Edisaurus is very loving -- to me and Sandra. They are all timid with other people. I sure wish you all lived nearby so you could come play.

TOD - usually whatever song from whatever show I had rehearsed the night before is the song that I won't be able to get out of my head the next day.  Always the one that you dislike or are tired of!!!

Another long day ahead, but a night at HOME!!!!   Which will be the first since returning from Cancun.

Back from breakfast in the hotel dining room with DR Elmore.  Who knows what the afternoon will bring?

DR Edi - I want you to know that I'm not commenting on the trailer because the wireless here is so slow and it probably wouldn't do justice to the piece.  When we get a better connection, or get home (whichever comes first!), I'll watch it and love it, I'm sure!

From td:
Quote
DR Jane, I know nothing about B&N's pricing on their Nook.
I know that I can get Borders' Kobo, while we have them, for a discounted price.
IF I got one, I'd be getting it primarily for Mum, who could read books on it as if they were large print editions.
Plus our store would get major credit if our employees purchased a Kobo - there's some sort of nonsensical corporate contest involved. . .

Of course you don't know the pricing.  I'll have to look up and see what yours is and if there is a difference between them.  We don't have a Border's here.
