I think page two is trying to gaslight us - there's no way we can be on page two.

But first I have to attend a meeting of the 50th Anniversary Committee - which will mean I will hear the same ideas I always hear - hats and t shirts.....which so many of our patrons will want to buy.

Wednesday morning greetings!  I am now officially an aspiring Chautauquan and someone's "protege."  Debra Conner and I had a breakfast meeting that was fruitful for both of us and she gave me a lot of encouragement and good advice.  Now I'm waiting in our hotel lobby for Richard to get back from Loudenville, OH, where he went for a program on the humor of W. C. Fields.  We'll have a little more time in Ashland before Debra's 2pm program, after which we'll head home.

The Southern Oregon Chautauqua Assembly was organized in Central Point in 1892. The plan was to hold meetings in a grove near that town, but at the encouragement of George F. Billings of Ashland and others -- they pointed out that Ashland had electric lights, city water and a better hotel that did Central Point -- it was decided that Ashland, where there was a small college and a wooded site on a hill above the Plaza, would be a more suitable spot.

It is very warm here as well.

I don't think I will purchase the ONE CD PP.....David Merrick notwithstanding.

A friend from church and her 8-year-old daughter played with kittens today. No one hid. She carried Edisaurus all over the place.

Barnum was the one who seemed a little overwhelmed today, although he didn't hide.

I'm going to have a very film noirish week or two.

I just got the new Columbia Box Set (5 movies) and the new Warner Box Set (8 movies).

I'd better get out my trench coat and fedora.

DR JRand, I believe the second season of THE LUCY SHOW was released yesterday.  I am going to wait until the end of the month to order when the complete MOTHERS-IN-LAW is released...

I'm back at my goal of being in shape before I'm 50.  I was really almost there a year ago, but totally let myself go over the fall and winter, so now I've got one year to get there.  I'm hoping to keep walking in the morning.  Now that the basement is cleaned up, I can easily get to the treadmill if the weather is bad.   I'm going to try to start with an easy mile in the morning to get my day started.  That should help.

:)  VIBES YOU SUCCEED!!!

Thanks Jane.  I wanted chocolate and had a cucumber.  I guess that's a good thing

Good afternoon, all. Boring day at work. Nothing to do, so they let us go two hours early.

Last night I watched PAT & MIKE.  This is my favorite Tracy and Hepburn movie.  If only ADAM'S RIB and WOMAN OF THE YEAR were as brisk and breezy (and David Wayne-less.)
Granted, David Wayne could be a bit hard to take in large doses, but I loved the performance he turned in on "St. Elsewhere," as a friend of Auschlander's (Norman Lloyd).

Wasn't that a very bad Peter Bogdonovich (sp?) movie?

I remember that show as a kid. Never quite understood how Kaye Ballard's husband went from being tall with a head of hair and mustache to a short balding glasses wearing person

I would also like to point that I thought Susan St. James got pregnant by Rock Hudson for real on McMlllian and Wife and then lost it when there was no mention of the baby the next season

I remember wife and baby were killed off so there must have been some mention of the baby.
