I also watched 'Night Train to Munich' a couple of days ago--I am semi-loathe to admit I had never seen it before.  I'm sorry, I fail to "get" what women found so attractive about Rex Harrison, especially in this film.  I also watched some of the extras on 'The Fugitive Kind' last night.  Couldn't quite bring myself to actually watch the film, LOL.

I must jump back on the reviewing bandwagon, however.  I have Season 3 of SUPERNATURAL to get out (hopefully today), and then a few titles I'm looking forward to:  the "new" Ivory Merchant film (whose name I have of course forgotten--it has Anthony Hopkins and Laura Linney) and a biopic of Hank Garland called "Crazy," as well as some History Channel stuff.

Something sort of wonderful just happened via a phone conversation that gave me real epiphany. I apologize for talking in riddles, but I have to say it was a revelation I desperately needed. Now, how to proceed?

Does this mean the murder for hire plot is proceeding?   ;D

Speaking of Musicals 101: If memory serves, Tom Jones (of Schmidt & Jones fame), in "The Show Goes On," had a wonderful monologue about one of the backers of "I Do, I Do!" insisting that shows had to have a title song "So people will remember the name of the show - you know, like 'Oh, Dolly!' " :D

There are, of course, shows which have "I want" songs as their opening number: ("I Wish," "Belle"), but that's another story nevermind...

While there *is* something of "follow the template" in many contemporary shows, I think the real problem is the timeframe: shows get reworked and reworked for so long that (a) the life gets completely written out of them (see Jeckyll & Hyde), and (b) promising raw talent never gets to work out its kinks by writing more than one show a decade (see Adam Guettel, Lin-Manuel Miranda).

If someone who recorded SOUTH PACIFIC on one of their electronic devices could make me a copy, that would be very nice.

Can I get on The Bandwagon, I too would LOVE a copy

Great day in SF yesterday.  Did some touristy things, went to Union Square where the kids shopped and I was appalled by most of what I saw in those stores like Abercrombie and Fitch, American Eagle, and others where all the clothes look the same and the perfume that permeates the air is just nauseating.  But the kids had fun.   The tour at Pixar was so cool.  We had a great time there, also.

Health wise, I think we nailed what has been ailing me all summer.  And the DR (as in DOCTOR) and I agree it was simple dehydration.  Crazy, but all symptoms etc. point to that.  So, that is easy to avoid!

Today, Alcatraz, Chinatown and wherever we end up.

I found something that helps the knots/pain in my upper legs (from biking).

I got it at the dollar store (but have seen it elsewhere). It's like a little hot pack. You pinch this silver coin in it and it heats up. And then the next times you put it in boiling water. It really seems to loosen my muscles.

Interesting gadget. :)
