Ok, time to read a transcript from testimony today that the other lawyers ordered.  Not sure what was so special about it, but I'll read it.

Sorry, I have been out of it most of the day. Just a non-stop whirlwind of oddities. I thought I had a job interview. Turned out to be some pyramid scheme to bilk unemployed people of what little money they have. I really loathe that kind of behavior.

Then it was off to celebrate Restaurant Week (three-course dinners for $35) with a friend I needed to catch up with. Turns out he needed a sympathetic ear because a lifelong friend of his and his wife's, whom I've met a few times, has just learned he has cancer of the jaw and that it may have already metastisized (sp?). Anyway, both of them will be helping their friend and his wife through a difficult patch ahead.

Yet another ugly instance of the insensible nature of this disease.

The rains certainly have cooled things off here. At 11 p.m., it's all of 80 degrees instead of 102. And I'll take it.

With that, I must say good night, all.

:-[  (I never thought of myself as lazy, but I don't seem to do that much anymore at home, maybe from overweight, maybe from old, maybe from tired, but I do wish I was younger, when I could clean a whole house by myself and never even consider letting anyone help me, or stay up for 24 hours just because something cool was going on).  end of rant

Digging around on wikipdia, I found a 1903 Chicago publicity photo of William Norris in BABES IN TOYLAND

Unfortunately it was used to illustrate an article on Millard Fillmore.

Interestingly, according to Wikipedia, Millard Fillmore also had a Top 10 hit which peaked at #16.

I have spent most of the day combing through the LOST COMPLETE COLLECTION extras for my review.  Oy, what a lot of stuff is in this set.

I went for a jog at seven - I've been jogging in the early evening after it's cooled off from these horrendously hot 100 degree days.  Tonight, it was still 100 at seven.  I could barely go the mile and a half.  I had two white peaches for dessert and then two teeny-tiny pork baos I got at Costco - only three hundred calories for the two - so today I think I ate under 1200 calories, probably closer to 1000 or 900.

Well, we just squeaked by to not set another low posting day record.  I suppose I should write some notes?

While doing laundry, I watched "America's Got Talent" and last Wednesday's episode of "Psych."
