We had a really nice dinner of grilled New York strip steaks and shrimp wrapped in bacon. There were a pair of salads, a slaw with a spicy ginger dressing and a mix of orange and fennel with almond slivers. We also had grilled broccoli and mashed cauliflower with Parmesan cheese on top and a spread of olives, white anchovies and watermelon radish as snacks. For dessert, I made my raspberry tart with plenty of butter and almonds in it.
Best of all, I was able to share it with my sister, brother-in-law and nephew. Great evening. And I ate way too much.
