MISS OTIS REGRETS SHE'S UNABLE TO RANT TODAY
« on: September 29, 2010, 12:06:54 AM »

Well, you've read the notes, the notes had no mention of Miss Otis despite Miss Otis being in the title of today's notes, and now it is time for you to post until the cows come home - they are having no trouble ranting today and are especially happy that one of our ensemble girls is named Shannon CUDD.

Good morning, all!

I had most peculiar dreams last night, none of which I can now remember, but I do remember that my dad was in at least one of them I suspect a lot of it has to do with my reading FOOL and its KING LEAR source; as you may or may not recall, I've been living KING LEAR since my dad, around 1990, gave/sold his empire, the construction business he began in 1965, to my two brothers, Randy and Macbeth, and the oldest son became Lear's youngest daughter Cordelia, who wanted nothing of the family business. So, until my dad's death in 2007, I was the one called home to mediate/soothe/rationalize thngs whenever Goneril and Regan - I mean Randy and Macbeth - got into battles with my dad over the "company," bitching that he wouldn't stop trying to run it after gving it up, or plotted to overthrow the other, or became violent to each other's physical welfare. Randy's misfortune is that he married a sensble and kind woman while Macbeth found a hard bitch to support/enable his crimes against everyone.

So, reading FOOL has brought up a lot of subtext and a real longing to see my dad again, but such things can only happen in dreams or madness, so I'll dream. My mother took the other option,

Today, the barber at 10:30. Following that, edits with Mr Skip Kennon, and then home to whatever fresh hell comes down the road.

Question for BK:

I know you won't reveal the titles, but:

Does Kritzerland have any more Broadway Original Cast releases in the works?

Off to the airport soon. Headed home. It's been a good trip, but I'm glad it's reaching an end.

Today is a shopping day for me, so hopefully I will find some nice things at the Goodwill store and some new things at Dollar Tree!

KING KONG.....love the music.....

Although I must say that Miss Allison Hayes gives Miss Faye Wray some competition in the screaming dept.

Wednesday morning greetings!  After today's session at the CR gym, I have to clean up and meet my grantwriter friends for dinner.  The speaker for tomorrow's conference is flying in from Phoenix this afternoon, and after dinner I'll take her to her hotel, which is not far from our home.  The conference is being held at our local hospital, which is very convenient for me and works well because it's a Dayton & Cincinnati co-sponsored event.

BK, if you do the student film.  Make sure it's a SAG-waiver or approved.

I think I have that move on DVD. It stars Amitabh Bachchan, Mala Sinha, Vikram, and Cuckoo.

I too love the original KING KONG! And I love Fay Wray in it and in MYSTERY OF THE WAX MUSEUM. However, I find her terribly dull in every other movie I have seen her in as a leading lady.

Now, when she turned character actress in the 1950s she was truly wonderful!

Hi, DR td - how are you today?

While Norma Desmond may be ready for her close-up, I am ready for my colonoscopy.
(I am actually feeling very, very hungry right now).  :(
