I hope they come, too Jane.  I definitely extended an invitation and said I'd be thrilled to have them come.   Mom and dad came her for Thanksgiving oh, maybe 6 years ago when i was in my other house.  We had a great time.  Unless the weather is bad, my guess is they will come here.   Hope so

DR DRUXY I can certainly tell from that photo that all of Miss Wilkinson's workouts with the Mark Eden Shoulder Developer paid off.

BK, about Guy Haines' new album...do you know the music of John Bucchino?  He released a CD of his songs about 10 years ago (Grateful: Songs of John Bucchino) and I think his music would fit Guy Haines' voice very well.  "That Smile" is a duet sung by Liza Minnelli and Billy Stritch.  The published songbook has the solo version, but I really like the duet version on that CD.  There are several other songs that might work for Guy, as well. :)

Just a thought.

I'd like to put in a vote for Guy singing Irving Berlin's "How's Chances." And for a duet, "We're Gonna Be Alright" from "Do I Hear a Waltz?"

Good Evening!

What a gray and cold day it turned out to be here in NYC. However, I did get some cleaning done.

And now, I'm off to see Into the Woods.  I have friends it.  I'm sure that it'll be very good.

I probably won't be back on until tomorrow because of my brand new cable modem's "issue." :P

HOPEFULLY, it'll all get fixed tomorrow morning, sometime between 10 a.m., and noon.

Until later!

And for a duet, "We're Gonna Be Alright" from "Do I Hear a Waltz?"

....And could include the "alternate" version of "We're Gonna Be Alright" as a hidden/bonus track. -Although, I've never really found the lyrical differences between the show and Side by Side versions to be that different.

I didn't either. Except for the use of that once-dreadful word "homosexual."

Am listening to the start of "Love Never Dies." Lyrics are subpar, but I kinda like Sir Andrew's music.

Oh dang! I think Callie has a spot in front of her ear and right over her eye.  I put some medicine on it, of course she's licking it off.   Looks like I'll have to make a trip to the vet tomorrow and may have to put all three on meds.  I guess it's better to just deal with it all at once.. Callie has been absolutely everywhere in the house.  Maybe time to call Merry Maids

I am thinking the play version may be great......Russell just seemed too old to me, and of course with her as Lavinia, they had to cast the mother older....and Paxinou made the LOVE story between her and Leo Genn and bit ludicrous.....which may have been the point.

And, to put it politely, Paxinou was not in any sense of the word, attractive.

Gotta agree about Paxinou.  A bit of bizarre casting that I didn't quite fathom.

I think Guy Haines' Lil Abner song should be "The Country's In The Very Best of Hands" since it seems quite appropos of our current political climate.
