Went to the sleep clinic last night and wore breathing apparatus for the first time. Not as easy as I thought it would be I still woke up during the night and I was tired when I woke up. I was hoping that it would happen. We will see what will happen when I wear it on a full time basis

Good morning.

I slept well enough, but was plagued by a seemingly continuous dream about the changing landscape of Pittsburgh.
I was working with catering folk from Carnegie Mellon in downtown Pittsburgh where there were Christmas Gift Buses being set up on the main streets downtown.  Double-decker buses decorated it red, green and gold, where people were boarding to get their gifts wrapped.
I had to leave downtown as my shift was over, but, I realized I did not have my car with me, so I took public transportation, which was a roller coaster around the suburbs of Pittsburgh.  There was also a tour guide aboard who was pointing out the sites along the way as well as the neighborhoods.  We went through a triple tunnel carved out of a mountain and crossed a river where we told we all had to disembark and travel the rest of our routes on foot.  I thought it very odd that I would have to walk twenty some miles to get home even though it was a bright sunshiny day.
From the point of the three rivers, I decided I would go a little piece up the Allegheny, where I would be able to get a ride from someone who worked at one of the restaurants I had worked at: Red Fin Blues.
To get to the restaurant, I had to make a leap off of a cliff-face into which a video store had been "carved."  The leap was astonishing smooth, as I landed on the flat metal awning of the video store, which had plastic sheets covering its windows.
I walked a couple of blocks to the open-air restaurant, sat down and was served by the naked owner:  well, the only nakedness I saw was his back, his legs and his torso - no face, no full-frontal, but, nude and serving several tables.  He served me a deep-fried key chain, with one key still intact.
I took the key with me, hugged the owner, thanking him and began the long trek home.

Have at that, dear readers!

A very strange dream indeed, td.  I like the deep-fried key chain.  Be careful where you post this dream.  If Tim Burton sees it, it could be his next film.

I wonder if George has a deep-fried keychain in his collection?

That doesn't sound good.  I hope it works once you use it at home.

Our mailbox door fell off yesterday.  The whole where the screw goes through had completely rusted out.  Unfortunately this mailbox is bricked into a large pillar like device, there is no way in hell it's coming out of there without a "Mythbusters" level explosion.  :)  But I figured out I could put together a contraption of screws, washers and nuts that has fixed it perfectly.  I'm rather proud of myself.  I'm sure that won't last.  :)

On my way to the market, I passed the Oaf who was returning from walking his dog. He's not been speaking because, I suspect, he's pissed about me complaining to the landlord about his nocturnal noises. I just had to turn up the sound on the CD player because he's having a noisy round of bouncing bed springs.

If there were a god, the Oaf would be deported back to Toronto.

Or I'd be rich enough to move.

Why is he mad that you're complaining?  The landlord obviously did nothing to stop his behavior.

You'd think he'd be upset that he's bothering you. Or mortified that you can hear him.

Sunday afternoon greetings!  We are back from Lima, where today was Church of the Holy Nativity's annual meeting.  We had a nice potluck luncheon beforehand and, afterwards, Richard and I went to call on one of our parishioners who recently had hip surgery.

Now I'm watching SHALL WE DANCE ON ICE on NBC.

*Actually, I woke up at 8:30 - just in time to hear "The Puzzler" segment on NPR's "Weekend Edition", and then I proceeded to listen to the rest of the Sunday line-up on WNYC...

DR Jose - did you hear the Morning Edition segment about Arena Stage?

Had a surprise visit from Mr. Nick Redman.  We had fun, then went to the Studio Cafe for lunch.  I must say, in one of the few times I've been there, they pretty much screwed up everything about our order.

Now I'll finish watching Make Way For Tomorrow, then think about what else would be fun to watch.  And I think I'll finally go over to Amoeba with these huge two boxes' full o' DVDs and CDs and get some trade credit.

And then...

Oatmeal topped with Bananas, Strawberries and some Scharffen Berger Cacao Nibs for some crunch.

I don't think I want to know.

We had a 3-hour session and recorded three piano solos. Billy played beautifully, an, since I got home around 4:30, I've been cleaning up the mess I left this morning; I'm redoing filing cabinets and I left clutter all over the apartment.

Now I need to wash some greens for my dinner salad.  Tomorrow morning I'll move the two drawers containing all my DVDs of tv programs to another filing cabinet.

Now get me off this damned page!

The adoption bus sounds so creepy.

I guess they gave up their contract with the pet stores here in town. So now they would go into the general population at the shelter. I would like to keep them out of the shelter and at the adoption bus. The adoption bus lady has Mondays and Tuesdays off, so they are home until she gets back on Wednesday.

Better than the shelter, in my opinion. They would be likely to get sick.

It has been a beautiful November here in the Northwest, at least weather-wise.  However, if you are a Seattle Seahawk fan, it has been a very crappy day.

I agree with you on that, but I was thinking more of places like Petco and PetSmart, or some vets offices.
