BK, I've enjoyed the liner notes the last two days. Just curious, are these notes for the next volume of memoirs?

Sometimes I do this as a dry run - just to get things back into my head so I have them to refer to.  If you check last year's notes you will find some whose stories ended up in the first volume.

I'm awake.  No work today!!  My cousin Melinda and her BF are coming over to see the house, which they've never seen and we've been here 2 years now.  I need to go work on some sort of foodstuff to offer them.  Something like a white bean dip I would think.

bk, loved the notes.  Each time your reminisce about that time, something new comes out, or maybe it's your frame of mind when you write it, I don't know.

Does this mean you can't do anything with the Sherman Bros CD?

Unless I were to buy it back and that doesn't seem likely, frankly.

I remember Ingrid Pitt from WHERE EAGLES DARE and of course Countess Dracula and The Vampire Lovers....she had some lively commentary on the last two films when they were released as a double feature on Midnite Movies.....

I'm up - helper called and forgot she has a doctor's appointment, so we're starting a little later than planned.

My question for ASK BK day......what television show or movie.....do you think most accurately portrays the current state of Hollywood and/or television?

I don't really watch television so I don't know that answer, and do you mean a movie about movies?  Have there been any of note since The Player?  Otherwise, sadly, I think ninety percent of the dross I see reflects the current state of Hollywood - movies by committee, independent films that don't even know what the word independent means, i.e. lower budget studio films, screenwriting 101, trendy direction.

Well, I for one miss those types of albums and the singers albums, too.  No one does them anymore.  They were one of a kind and are sorely missed.

And the word of the day is: MITHRIDATE!
I dated Mith Ridate back in high school. She lisped a lot.

I miss them, too. The Unsung Musicals, the Lost in Boston, Broadway Christmas, the Hollywood Christmas -- they were wonderful

There was David Mamet's "State and Main," which was surprisingly lackluster and sweet considering the pedigree.

Something to look forward to. As Liliane LeFleur would say, I love it!

I see State and Main for sale at all these $3 bins and I can never bring myself to buy a copy. Now, "Things Change" is another story. Probably my favorite Mamet movie. Don Ameche was outstanding in that one.

Spent the last 90 minutes on the phone with mom going through her bread recipes today. We only had 19 recipes, but it took longer than pies. I guess it's because pies are easier to make. With dough you have to careful that all the yeast steps are correct and as explicit as possible.

My mom couldn't cook a thing when she married. Now, 56 years later, she's not patient explaining the complicated process of bread baking to anyone.

Feel better vibes for Jose and all in need. I'm still taking the antibiotic for the ear infection and am happy to report that it's working nicely. I can tell it's not gone, but I have no complaints.

Good Afternoon!

Just watching the Noon News... Apparently, a tractor-trailer jack-knifed on southbound 95 right at the 95/64 interchange here in Richmond early this morning. Spoo!

This will disappoint DW Wife Betsy, who had a major crush on Bobby and got to have lunch with him when he did a PR swing thru Chicago when she was a news anchor there.  I believe he was a paramedic by that time.  She has a lovely autographed pic of him.  Without Sal.  :)

Sal produced a few records for Mr Sherman and got him on Shindig!

Then couldn't even get him on the phone.

Well, one must remember that perhaps this biography of Sal is written by someone who likes to make things up - it's certainly happened before and will certainly happen again.  Not saying it isn't true, just saying grains of salt are occasionally a good idea.  Is this a good book, this Sal book?

Yes it's very good, and the story was related to the author by Miss Jill Haworth who was Mr Mineo's main squeeze at the time....or I guess I should say....until that time.
