I found myself wide awake at 7:00 this morning. I even got out of bed and puttered around the apartment for a bit, but then decided to crawl back under the covers for a few more hours of sleep. Come 9:30... :)

Have we seen this here already?  At the link, corgis singing happy birthday.  It was said to have been made for the queen of England, but for people with birthdays coming up...

Now, the question is - to quote DR JMK from last night - "Are they lip-syncing?"

;)

I do love the final "note"!

DR Charles Pogue - as a reference librarian, I was always pleased when I could find a play in Theatre Arts that couldn't be found anywhere else.  Unfortunately, the trend now is to get rid such things and most new reference librarians are pretty dependent on Google.

Ginny, I am amazed at what libraries discard these days.  I thought they were supposed to be our repositories for our literature and history.

Reaction to the KRINGLE LADIES parody with the instrumental was good, so I went ahead and did a full recording of the parody, with the vocal by our neighbor Leenya Rideout.  if you know of anyone who'd like it, hope you'll pass the link on to them

Here's KRINGLE LADIES:  PUT FIVE GOLDEN RINGS ON IT, a parody of SINGLE LADIES  - (I have no idea just why YouTube is putting pop-up ads on it; we get nothing from those ads!) - parody sung here by Leenya Rideout

So did my generation of librarians, DR Charles Pogue.  I'm not a "paper only" traditionalist - a lot of technology is really nifty - but there's so much being lost because its value is not recognized.

DR Jose -- Prevacid. It will help your esophagus heal. One pill for 14 days (whether you feel like you need it or not).

I was awakened by the ringing of the doorbell and therefore I am up - barely.  She of the Evil Eye is here and I shall be on my way somewhere shortly.

I'm sorry, FJL. I had to turn your song off. I have never been able to stand more than a very few seconds of All the Single Ladies. Ever.

DR Laura - I started a course of Prevacid as soon as I got back in town Thursday morning. -Of course, I've also had to turn down two "very spicy Szechuan" dinner invitations too. Ah, well.

So...

My parents are currently venturing to a part of Richmond that they've never really ventured before.  Of course, the Annual Christmas Parade is this morning, and there's a basketball game at VCU too. And, of course, the place they need to get to is right on the other of the parade and basketball arena. Needless to say, I'm expecting phone calls. ;)

Ok, time to start my day.  Boo came in and meowed at 9:00, turned around and left.  About 5 minutes later, Ricky came in and jumped on the bed.   I think there is a conspiracy brewing in my house....   :)

If you want to see what our weather is like here in SW Ohio, see if ESPN is carrying the Cincinnati/Pitt game in your area.  It's being played in Cincinnati, just 30 miles or so from our home.

JR, the MAD MEN Blu's were indeed on sale for $9.99 for a day last week.  Blu-ray.com had a big "featured" special on the home page.  For any of you who buy a lot of hi-def, I can't recommend our site highly enough--just check in a couple of times a day and there is tons of information on the home page about deals, some of which are time sensitive.

BK, ROSENCRANZ and GUILDENSTERN ARE DEAD is a faithful filming of the Stoppard play and has some very good stuff in it.

To tie these two posts together, one of my favorite new titles showing in one of my colleague's review queues at Blu-ray.com is ROSENCRANZ and GUILDENSTERN ARE UNDEAD.  I believe it may be a zombie movie.  ;)

Hello everyone.

It was a very nasty case of food poisoning.
Lost six pounds. (want to keep all six off)

Glad you are doing better and something good came from being so sick.

I'm very proud of Miss Molly, who has got the nature of the dog door. . .almost. . .she needs a little help coming in, but, going out, she's brilliant.

The bad news is the CD drive on my Mac needs to be replaced.

 >:(

The "good news" is that, since the part has to be ordered, I can still use the Mac until it arrives.

 :)

However, at that point, I will lose it for 3-5 days.
