I just want to say that I am glad the woman took Spats back right away. She didn't even get home before changing her mind. So her daughter didn't see him and get attached to him and THEN returned him or let him get out of the kitten stage and then returned him. I am glad she took him back while the bus was still there -- otherwise he would have ended up at the shelter. I was just disappointed that it looked like he got a home, but didn't. He doesn't seem too upset -- he's purring like crazy.

"...and then I realized, he was home!"

*sniff*

Watching "Santa Claus Conquers the Martians" this morning. Surprised I have never seen it. It's all it's said to be and more.

You should see the Mystery Science Theatre 3000 version, DR John G.

I Tivo'ed a movie titled SANTA CLAUS that played last night on TCM.  I have the feeling that it was the K. Gordon Murry version that DR MBarnum is fond of.

Last night, my parents came to see "Jacob Marley's Christmas Carol" and really liked it.  (They even liked the lights. ;))

After the show, several of us went to a local bar, then restaurant to celebrate a mutual friend's birthday.  I woke up this morning with a bit of a headache and my voice is about an octave lower than usual. :P Otherwise, I feel fine.  It doesn't feel like a cold is coming on.

Today, I have to go into work for a couple of hours, then help my sister decorate her Christmas tree, then another show tonight.

Have a good day, all!

But before I go...

So I guess things are slowly returning to normal. It's 5:35am and I'm up. I no longer have a fever. I just have some stomach discomfort but it seems to be slowly dissapating.

Ginny, will you have a birthday splurge today? Or are you sticking to your cardiac diet?

BTW, Becky also gave me a glass canister filled with 60 (count 'em, 60) chocolate Tootsie Pops!

:)  I've kept an eye out for them and have hardly seen any pops let alone chocolate.

Thanks John G.  Pillars of the Earth should arrive today from NetFlix.  Did you read the book?  I read it years ago and wasn't as impressed as the general population.  I keep saying one of these days I'll read the sequel.
Sequel?????? :P :o :P :o

"World Without End is the sequel to The Pillars of the Earth. However, it doesn’t matter which you read first. The second book is set in the same town, Kingsbridge, but takes place two hundred years later, and features the descendants of the original characters."

I shouldn't rant about it, but I think it's very irresponsible.  There is a children's choir singing as a part of the event tonight.  I don't have kids, but I wouldn't let them go if I did.

It's Rave in the Nave time again, and this time it's Betsy and her Comedy Moms group.  Tonight Betsy will regale the audience with the Nativity Story as Jews would tell it.  It's very funny.
