So, today my Birding Buddy and I were checking out some sewage ponds in town, and we heard gunshots. I got a couple of photos to get a rather general description. When did the police officers get young enough to be my kid?

Of course, my thought was that he was about the right age for my daughter -- and he has a job.

Remember to take Sherlock out of the dryer first.

For some unknown reason, as I was running errands earlier this afternoon, I thought it was Tuesday.

DR elmore - Some of the Duane Reade locations have clinics in them now.  There's also that Beth-Israel Walk-In Clinics on 23rd & 7th, and 34th & Park.

Do either of these places accept your insurance plan?

Much as I think HIP is dreadful, I can always try an emergency same-day situation. They're just a shitty health insurance company.

That's where I went before I went to the emergency room.

HUGH MARTIN - THE BOY NEXT DOOR an autobiography by....Hugh Martin....is a most enjoyable book.

He talks personally but not TOO personally about himself.....which is a disappointment of a kind, but he also tells lots of stories about his time on Broadway and in Hollywood, at some of the most exciting times to be in both of those places.  He talks about his dealings with those who brought him along and those who stood in his way.....

It's a nice book - and makes me want to read the book DR ELMORE was talking about, the biography of Kay Thompson.

Got to go pick up Christmas cards.

If there are any good ones left.  Be careful.  The Reader's Digest wrote about a procrastinating couple who went out about this time and got the only cards they could find.  They hurriedly signed them, addressed them, and threw them in the mailbox at the Post Office.
When they got home, they finally got around to carefully reading it.     They had sent out about 100 cards that read:

"This Little Card Is Just to Say -
A Gift You'll Love Is On the Way!"

I had no idea this was finally published! I hear the curse is that he found God before he wrote it. I got to know Hugh slightly when I worked on BOYS FROM SYRACUSE in 1998. He's a lovely man. Had lots of bawdy stories about June Allyson and others.

And speaking of biographies...

There was a review of the new Gypsy Rose Lee bio, "American Rose" in The New York Times yesterday.

...That is all.

Wasn't this being co-written or ghosted by one of the old regulars on RATM?

The only CDs I've bought this year are Kritzerland releases, so I guess they would be my favourites bought this year!

It's the special mini-season. I believe Kyra Sedgwick called it a Christmas gift for the fans.
