TOD:   Not sure.   One small bird, though...just flew out of a bush and directly into my car....and one dog on a freeway many years ago...at night.  I stopped and looked for him but he had run off.   My car, however, would go no further as the radiator was leaking badly from the impact.

A cat lost half of its tail after -- unbeknownst to me -- having climbed into my car's engine on a cold day.  I had seen this small cat on the sidewalk of my complex.  It wasn't inclined to be petted.  I went indoors.  I came out 10 minutes later for a run to my market and heard a thump as I started the car.   What could be wrong, I panicked.   And then that cat appeared and ran off...with half its tail dangling from the other half.

TOD:  I have also run over a couple of snakes.

And during a couple of years I lived in Jacksonville, Florida -- while in the Navy --  I was responsible -- annually -- for the deaths of thousands of love bugs.  Not deliberate on my part.

Quoth Vixmom yestereve:

I for one would just like to commend Vixmom for having the courage to post here when English is obviously her second language.  My question to Vixmom is:  what's your first language?

I once found a dead bird impaled in the grill of the ginormous Cadillac my father gave to me when I was in my 20's.  I never saw or heard the impact, not surprising considering the size of that car.

I love that defense attorney that Tohav Ebeenon used to play on Law & Order, you know, the one with the cane.  :)

Oy and Vey - auditions for Altar Boyz today - something I've been dreading for almost a year.  Tried to get out of it several times, but it didn't work.  Tried reading the libretto last night but it reminded me too much of a pumped up Forever Plaid.  Trying to see the positive side here...

I'm up and I guess we'll have this training session at nine.  There are several things to ship so we'll just dive in and see how it works.  Thus far only two reports of packages with incorrect items and I'm praying it won't be many more than that.

No squirrels.  No nothing.  Thank goodness.

(BTW, Alice Faye introduced the song, "No Squirrels, No Nothin'" in "The Gang's All Here")

Vibes to all including the squirrels.

I have never run over a stupid squirrel.  Of course, Washington State law requitrs all squirrels to have a BA (Bachelor of Acorns) before they attempt to run out into traffic.

Good morning, all! I slept quite well last night, with one long and rambling dream about producing a tour of SHE LOVES ME. I've still got "Good Morning Good Day" running through my head.

I hope I got a chance to audition for Mr. Marachek!

TOD: Not sure if I've hit a squirrel, I don't think so. I did hit a fawn once.  Didn't mean to but there are so many deer where I used to live that almost everyone has hit one at one time or another.  My dad had a buck attack his car.  Must have been rutting season

Just finished listening to CASINO ROYALE.  What a treat.  Kudos, BK.  I do have two minor complaints (sorry, BK, I'm probably about to raise your dander and/or ire).  I personally found the second and third pages of the insert *very* difficult to read (the pages printed over the Sellers photo).  Also, Mr. Gergely Hubai (little known fact--Gergely is Tohav Ebeenon's brother-in-law) makes a pretty egregious grammatical error in a sentence that makes little sense anyway.  Since Mr. Hubai, like Vixmom, is not a native English speaker, it's understandable, but if you ran your liner notes by any of the many anal retentive people here on HHW ;), we could help you fix these mistakes.

Callie sleeps in the top of the back of the new recliner.  She claimed it very early on, so I've been sitting in the old one. LOL.  I am clearly not the master in this house

Ok, I better get going.  I need to run all my errands today and pick up the file I need to work on for the weekend.   The snow is expected to start tonight

The positive side is that the run will be over in the near future?

Have things gotten better or at least more comfortable with "The Wedding Singer"?

Hello all!   I think the week after the holidays is the saddest week of all.  I hate seeing all the trees and lights being taken down.  Sigh.  After MLK day it's long months until the next holiday weekend.  Sigh.

One week back to work and I find that nothing has changed.  By the end of the week I felt just as tired and worn out as i always have.  I honestly think the time has come for me to try to find something else to do.  It's not going to be easy to find something that pays as much as I make now but I finely have to admit that I am miserable at my current job.  There is no point in stressing myself out about something that takes so much of my time and energy and makes me so unhappy.

It may take some time to find something else but I'm going to start the hunt.

I took Bonny to the repair shop and got her back in 4 days.  I must admit they did a very good job.  You can't tell that it's a new door or that the paint is new.

I had a bird fly in front of the car once.  There was no way I could avoid it.  I did pull over and go back but it was to late.  I felt horrible but what could I have done?

Oh and the heat is out.  I turned it on last night and it only blew cold air.  I have someone coming to look it over from the company that installed it (I looked them up on the permit site) on Monday.

What a coincidence! I too, hit a squirrel yesterday morning.  Two slight "thud" sounds and I suspect he was off to meet his maker.  I usually take some sort of evasive action, but the traffic was such that I could have caused a human type accident.

On a happier note, my copy of Casino Royale arrived a couple of days ago.  I have not been able to listen yet,  but the package & booklet are top-notch!
I was about to add to my I-Pod, but found that the track names were not found in Grace Notes.  Bruce, do your CDs get listed with any of these services?
