Jane, to answer your question from yesterday, my appendicitis doctor is in the process of writing a report to be sent to my primary care physician. He should have it by the time I see my PCP

Good!

Hello, all. I've been very E&T the past week preparing for my step-mom's memorial service which took place last night. I put together a 10 minute video which showed her life from babyhood to her last week here. It was kind of emotionally draining to do but I'm glad I had the technology to do that.

Now I'm on the couch in Blue Ridge. It's impossible to sleep here but no good internet connection so I'm typing on my phone. Glad I can read the notes on my phone!

I'm sure everyone appreciated your memorial to you step-mother.

HUGS AND VIBES!!

Boo and Ricky have reached some sort of agreement Boo sleeps curled up under my left armpit and Ricky on the right.  I am not supposed to move, lol

Bogie & Bacall used to each curl up into an arm & by morning my arms ached from not moving them. :)

And I discovered a channel that gets Kathy Griffin's my Life On the D List. And they have 4 episodes on today.I used to love this show (It was on the Comedy Network here). But they stopped showing it after the first few seasons. I am so happy I will get to see this season.

I'd read that the show has ended...there won't be a new season. :(

DR GEORGE I think the Blu ray of 2001:A Space Odyssey is one of my favorite Blu Ray discs.

I was just going to watch it for a little bit to check out the visual quality and I didn't turn it off until more than an hour and a half into the movie!  It was mesmerizing.

Today, I'm ushering for the two, count 'em TWO performances of the touring production of The Wizard of Oz, performing in downtown Olympia!  I need to be at the Washington Center by 12:30 pm...at least parking is free on weekends.  I need to shower, get dressed and get something to eat before I get there, so I must act quickly.  It's gonna be a fun day in Oz!

Have a good day, all!

Whew!  I've done about all the undecking that I can do in one day.  All living/dining room decor is packed away, except for the angel collection.  That may stay on and around the piano until we return.  The mantle in the family room is back to everyday and all of the ornaments are off the tree.  Ours are packed and Rob's are ready to be packed - we just have to decide on a box.  When we run the dishwasher next - probably tomorrow - we'll switch back to our non-Christmas dishes.  Seems like we just got all this stuff out...

I agree. I hope this is the straw that causes Sarah Palin to go away, but it would be a shame that it would require the loss of lives for that to happen.

What a coincidence! I too, hit a squirrel yesterday morning.  Two slight "thud" sounds and I suspect he was off to meet his maker.  I usually take some sort of evasive action, but the traffic was such that I could have caused a human type accident.

On a happier note, my copy of Casino Royale arrived a couple of days ago.  I have not been able to listen yet,  but the package & booklet are top-notch!
I was about to add to my I-Pod, but found that the track names were not found in Grace Notes.  Bruce, do your CDs get listed with any of these services?

It usually takes about a week - we don't do it for any of the limited editions, but some soundtrack collector always ends up doing it.

The meeting this morning was fine.  The helper's boyfriend and the helper's best friend will coordinate and get done what needs to be done, so that it's not all falling on my shoulders.  Apparently our vibes and xylophones are working but we're going to have to keep them coming VERY strongly for another two weeks, I think.  One piece of advice I gave them was heeded and that apparently did some good.

I've written close to five pages, so I'm nowhere near catching up with what I didn't write yesterday, but I'll go get some food then do another five pages for sure, and then I'll pretty much be where I should.

Well, maybe we should take bets on the next assassination attempt. I've got Sarah's hit list here!

Before blaming Palin's "hit" list I suggest waiting for more details.  The first news out indicates this 22 year old had his own strange agenda.

Check near the oatmeal and follow the directions on the box. I love them doused with about a quarter bottle of Tabasco sauce on top. And a bit of butter.

Or with shrimp on top of some grits seasoned with Parmesan cheese.

Grits are just American polenta, only better.
