Brilliant minds is correct.  Also, it got us to Page Six.

Keith has been reading NORTH AND SOUTH on his Nook Color so I began reading it along with him.  I read at night after he turns out the lights.  He doesn't mind the light on the Nook & prefers it to my flashlight.  After two nights I'm getting the hang of it.  This morning it was still dark out when I began reading & I should have gone back to sleep.  I found the back light too bright first thing in the morning.  I need to see if a gray background will help.

With the book cover it is easier to hold than a regular book.  My biggest complaint it getting the knack of turning the pages without sending me somewhere I don't want to go.  Yesterday morning I went to a completely different book & didn't have a clue how to get back to my book. ;D  Now I know.

I also have to read two books at once so I have something to read while Keith is reading his Nook.

You should go to the store and try out the regular Nook.  visually it's like reading a book.  You couldn't read in the dark, but it isn't bright like looking at a computer screen.  I think it's easier on my eyes

True but the reason for me to use this is to read in the dark instead of using a flashlight which hurts my neck & bothers Keith, plus I'm constantly changing batteries.

There are Nook covers with lights

They look like the lights I have tried for regular books.  I never found one I was comfortable using.

I'm enjoying The Lacuna.  By the time I got to bed this past week I only read a couple pages at a time, so I have a long way to go, but it's interesting

Later in the book I began to get frustrated that Kingsolver was trying to impress all the history she learned onto the reader.  Others in my book group didn't feel as strongly about it as I did.  I will be interested in your opinion.

That is because with a regular book there really isn't any spot where you can hook the light that doesn't get disturbed when you turn a page.  It is different with an e-book.

And to completely light a large book it is too bright for someone trying to sleep next to you.

Jane, he's in the military prep school right now.  I like the different historical characters sprinkled through the book.  I'll let you know when I get further into it

I set THE LACUNA aside about halfway through.  I'll get back to it, but needed a breather to read something lighter.

Watching a motion picture on TIVO but I'm really tired, so I think I'll just play on the computer and then see about writing another couple of pages.
