I am electronically balanced and aligned....and I have four new tires.  I thought I only needed two, but upon looking at the others, well......it was scary to see the wear.

I cannot complain.....they had at least 52,000 miles on them.

Tires are the only thing between you and the road, JRand. It's good to have new tires.

Is there a program that will take musical notation that you enter on a QWERTY or keyboard and then print it out on musical paper?

DR JRand - Good and safe(!) tires are always a worthwhile investment.

Indeed.....it certainly handles much better now - even if that means NO EBAY for the rest of the month.

Besides, you can't rotate them if you buy just two. You'd  never put the old ones up front.

Not as a matter of course, but sometimes I like to be different.

I may take the car back this afternoon and have them rotated, since that is free.

They would be surprised to see me, I am sure!  :o

Is there a program that will take musical notation that you enter on a QWERTY or keyboard and then print it out on musical paper?

I know that Encore had - and still has(?) - a QWERTY entry method. However, it's quite keystroke intensive, and it's very hard to correct anything. However, most notation programs use a "drag and drop" method, so, if you have a mouse it's quite "easy".

Finale has "Notepad" which is a very basic program - and, strangely enough, it's more intuitive than their full-fledged programs. You can try it out HERE and view a demo.

The laundry is finished, the floors mopped and the bed made. My temper hasn't improved since I'd hoped there might be a fluke, as sometimes happens, that the bank transfer happens around 10:30am when banks on the west coast are operating. No such luck this morning.

Perhaps a trek to the NYPL will improve my spirits.

DR Elmore has gotten me hooked on the TV series NOAH'S ARC. I have one last episode from season 2 to watch, then I am all done (I guess there was no season 3).

Love the show, but it often made me glad to be single. The acting in season one was pretty bad, from some of the actors, but they all seemed to improve by season 2.

And I now have a new favorite actor in Jensen Atwood...this guy has personality!

After NOAH'S ARC ended he joined the cast of DANTE'S COVE, so now I guess I need to finish watching that (horrid) series.

My ask BK question of the day:

What movie have you always wanted to see, but have yet never been able to see.

For me, it is the Allison Hayes / Willard Parker movie HIGH POWERED RIFLE (1960).

Added to that list is the Bollywood film GOGOLA (1966), which is the Indian version of GODZILLA.
I have seen the poster and read the plotline...now I MUST see the film! That is, if someone will be kind enough to someday release it to DVD.

Everyone is writing something!

I'm trying to decide what I want to write next.

There are 3-4 possibilities.

I had a great Ask BK question the other day, and now of course I can't think of what it was.

MBarnum, you got me thinking about movies I would love to see but haven't. One is Fellini's last movie, "La Voce della Luna," which never played the States. Another is Robert Altman's "California Split," one of the few movies of his that I haven't seen. And I don't think I ever saw Gene Kelly's "Invitation to the Dance."
