Vibes to all who need them - Michael S for his preview, John G for his friend, JRand for his tires, Elmore for his financial status at the moment, Laura for a good test result, TCB for his future writing etc etc etc.

We are back after a lovely brunch at Le Pavillon followed by a trolley tour of St. Augustine and a drive on our own out to the beach.  Richard is doing laundry and I'm resting a bit before the Bishop's reception and the dinner that opens the clergy conference.

If tonight wasn't the night I take my mom out to dinner and grocery shopping, DR Elmore, I would call you on the telephone and put you into a better mood.

DR PennyO, what good news!

DR JohnG, I had meant to send vibes for your friend, but with the way this day is going, I think he's improving because I didn't. The day, which began bad enough, has continued to maintain its efforts to make my life miserable; I am positive today's horoscope, which I did not see, was advice to stay in bed. Or die.
Vibes of all sorts of mental, financial and just all-around richness to you.

So far, not many interruptions - just a couple of minor ones.  I've done about six pages so far - I also had a sandwich and fries (I made a page of notes whilst doing so), and picked up a couple of packages, including the three UK show masters, which are going to the mastering guy tomorrow.

Kelly Sullivan should be here soon, which leaves only Alet's music unclaimed - this seems to be a recurring theme with her and we're going to have to have a conversation about it at some point.  She's juggling three jobs, I think, and I can see that it's doing very bad things to her psyche.  And this morning, she texted me and told me she'd just quit one of them, so hopefully that will help.

Was hearing STATE DINNER and thinking they're saying STEAK DINNER a Gilda Radner joke from old SNL days?

And they keep saying THE STAKES are big for this dinner, and that makes it even more strange.

I'm thinking of having bacon for dinner. Just bacon. A big plate of bacon.

My ask BK question of the day:

What movie have you always wanted to see, but have yet never been able to see.

For me, it is the Allison Hayes / Willard Parker movie HIGH POWERED RIFLE (1960).

Gee, that was the first movie that came to mind for me, also.

I hope everyone remembered to order this DVD set, which just released yesterday! Mine is winging it's way to me via Amazon.com at this very moment.

Nope, I spent my allowance on Fredric March's CHRISTMAS CAROL.

Not the ones in my kitchen (I bought those a couple years ago), but the big sucker that is now sitting on my balcony.

Hey, kidz!

Bruce, your discipline for the writing is so inspiring. Always was.
I just sent in - a day late - my article for the February issue of Bunker Hill Magazine - I've been writing a monthly article or two for almost a year now - wow, tempis fugit! This one is about the West Coast premiere of the Wynton Marsalis Symphony #3, "Swing Symphony" - with the LA Phil. Can't wait to hear it. The Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra will be on hand, sitting in - the piece had its world premiere in Berlin last June, the US premier with the NY Phil in Sept as part of their gala opening of their 2010-11 season. So it finally makes its way west to sunny Los Angeles!

Tonight is the hoo-hah opening night of the LA Art Show - the high rollers in the art industry - artists and collectors from all over the world hit the LA Convention Center, wearing all their diamonds - I got invited because my last month's Bunker Hill Mag article was all about THIS show... I get two tickets - but have NO DATE!! Bruce!!! Wanna go???

LA Phil?  Isn't that the name of that famous groundhog?
