Well, you've read the notes, the notes were slight and crazed, and now it is time for you to post until the slightly crazed cows come home.

Smoke on your pipe and put that in.

Thursday.  There is a bit of snow on the ground - and 3 - 5 inches predicted this afternoon.  Which means that we will go to work, since it is a work day for US and not THEM.

"So let us begin anew—remembering on both sides that civility is not a sign of weakness, and sincerity is always subject to proof. Let us never negotiate out of fear. But let us never fear to negotiate.  Let both sides explore what problems unite us instead of belaboring those problems which divide us."

JFK was course talking about the Soviets and the Americans - but I do wish that members of the Congress and all those talking heads on the TY would read these words of JFK and take them to heart

Good morning, all! The Institute's wire transfer occurred last night as I'd hoped and I have money in the bank again, thank God. Not much, but I am no longer enormously overdrawn.  Thank you all for the vibes and good wishes.

Last night I continued my IRS prep and tallied all of my office supplies and shipping charges. This evening I'll work on promotional items.

Today, I'm back to Toyland, and I will leave shortly. I have lots of work on Act One before I meet Mr Kennon at 1pm to work on the Appendix music.

I recall loving the novelization of HOUSE OF DARK SHADOWS.

The movie was like 100 episodes of the tv show all jammed into 90 minutes.

re: the comments last night about the new Kathy Bates show HARRY'S LAW.

I recorded it but didn't get a chance to watch it. My mom loved it and I think it reminded her a lot of BOSTON LEGAL (a show I liked a lot).

Will you play in the snow?

I rad the Louis Edmonds book about a year or two ago; I was interested in CANDIDE and ERNEST IN LOVE and they were hardly mentioned. The book appeared to be primarily for DARK SHADOW fans, and I was never into the series. The person with great CANDIDE stories was the actor Conrad Bain, who played several roles including that of the Very Old Inquisitor. He loved the show and liked talking about it.

HOUSE OF DARK SHADOWS SPOILER :)  :)  :)

I almost jumped out of my seat on "You betrayed me, Julia" - and IIRC, when we went back to watching the TV show the next day or so, everything seemed Ok, as if the movie hadn't happened.

I seem to recall bubble gum cards or some similar photo selection for DARK SHADOWS which I expected would be scary.  But they all seemed to be shots of David Selby, at least in that group of fotos.

I'd like to see the two DARK SHADOWS movies. Grayson Hall was an acquaintance. I was fond of her, but we weren't friends. She was a good friend of my late friend Leonora Hayes, the wife of designer David Hayes who founded The National Theatre of the Deaf. Leonora died too young. Their son wrote a book about sailing around Cape Horn with David, MY OLD MAN AND THE SEA.

TOD:

My wife bought me a book of true ghost stories the other day, so I'm reading a couple of those every night before bed.

No nightmares, thus far.

Seeing David Selby in "The Social Network" was a bit jarring. Didn't know which was scarier, him as a lawyer or him as a werewolf. (Sorry, Cilla.)
