Molly and I are back from a forty minute walk.

I have a huge turkey in the oven.

Mashed Potatoes to be made.

Cole Slaw to be dressed.

Broccoli and Cauliflower to be steamed.

Dinner @ 3:00pm.

Then there's this snow-bedecked thing in Texas to look forward to, I believe it has something to do with Pittsburgh. . .

I believe the majority of my meal today will be chips and dip; but I will have some chicken and rice later, after the game.

I think I will return to the book fair - I just love looking at nice books too much to stay away.  Next weekend is another book fair, this one in San Francisco, and that one is huge with dealers from all over the country.  There was a time when I'd have just hopped on a plane and attended (and did - only once, though), but I am getting to the point where unless I really need to go somewhere for work I'm not enjoying the travel experience.

It's a beautiful day in New York. Temperatures in the 40s with lots of sun. The remaining snow is melting. Tomorrow will be more of the same. We are due for some colder temps later in the week but right now it's beautiful.

By the way, Anthony awoke and we ate breakfast, scrambled eggs, fresh strawberries, a blueberry scone with blackberry jam, I had coffee and Anthony had tea.

If you can make it here, DR TCB, I'll have you for company.

And. . .NO!  I am not cheering for the Fudge Packers.

Good afternoon.  It's 30 degrees and snowing great big snowflakes.  I love this kind of snow.  It generally doesn't last long.

It did get better in the second half of the book.  I would have liked the book much better if about 100 pages of the middle were cut out

I absolutely agree with you!!!!

While I have SOCIAL NETWORK on my Netflix queue to watch & it said to be an excellent movie, I have reservations about watching it.  From what I have read Mark Zuckerberg seems to be a good sport regarding the inaccuracies about him especially those that are unkind.

I remember back in the 60's, our family stopped at the Trees of Mystery on our way south  to Disneyland.  I remember that my mother was outraged when we got back to our car, because while we were touring the area, the staff had wired a T of M bumpersticker to our car.

;D  I don't blame her.

It's fiction, speculation, and artistic and dramatic license! What's there to boycott?

...And I've have brunch at great old-timey restaurant that's only two blocks from the theatre. The restaurant, Barksdale Restaurant, has been around for years, but, of course, I was just tipped off to it today... After coming to Memphis for the past 12 years... Hmmm...

I played pinochle last night for the first time in months. Then went off to a place called the Hangin' Tree Saloon for a few hours of country music (and too much smoke). The music was provided by James Hand, a cowboy singer with a vibrato perfect for yodeling. He managed to stay sober through all three sets, which is quite a feat for him. The last time he was at this bar, he was so drunk he fell into the drum set.

Whoa!  More coffee TCB. I was quite stunned to read that John G. said that he had played Pinocchio!

Ah makes more sense the second time.  Even I haven't played Pinocchio.  He would have to be carved from a Califonia Redwood, or at least, a giant sequoia.
The wooden terms would be used for my dancing, not my card playing, TCB.
