My niece Jadie (the one who has the fever) is 1 yr 9 months. She's starting to say more words. And just last week she came up with her own name for me. My other niece calls me "Auntie". But i guess that was too hard. For some reason she calls me Naa-naa. And she screams it whenever she can't find me. It's pretty funny.

It is really cold outside! I had a nice informative trip to the NYPL, visited briefly with my favorite theatre librarian Jeremy Megaw, and had too long a wait for the No 11 bus to show up. When it did, two arrived at the same time, meaning that one was moving very slowly along its route and the other had caught up with it. Where the hell are the MTA monitors?

I've had four requests for the BBC broadcast of ONE TOUCH OF VENUS: BK, JohnG, George, and Ben. Did I miss anyone?

I've been invited to take part in Festival of the West in Scottsdale, AZ, March 17-20, 2011. I'll be signing copies of my screenplay of CHEYENNE WARRIOR and some of my other books.

DR Jane, I really liked the season finale of HUMAN TARGET.  I don't think it has been decided if it is returning. But I hope it does.

Thanks & thanks. :)

Sandra was scared to death that she might be called up in Spelling Bee. They probably would have had a hard time getting her to miss a word, though.

Too bad she wasn't called up. :)

Meanwhile, I feel awful - I'd assumed it was allergies but maybe it's not - then again, maybe it is, but it's all in my throat and my sinuses are wacky - I've talked to a few people who are having terrible allergy problems right now - who knows?

DR TD, so glad that Miss Molly is home and recoving well!! Good doggy!

She slept with me, on my bed, last night, cuddled up against my chest, with one ear over my heart.

Sweet. :)

I figured no cone of shame at your house. :)

I need to decide about heading downtown to the Village for a memorial service for my friend Fred Goldhaber who died last month. I'm waffling.

This morning I walked Sherlock then went to my aquatics class & had an extra hard workout.  This time I avoided the ones that make my shoulder worse & substituted my own exercises.  I returned home, showered, washed my hair & ate.  I then scrubbed the bathrooms.  I also had to blow my hair dry which is a chore since breaking my shoulder.

Is it funny if you are shopping in a store ;)

That's not happened yet. She's only been saying it for 2 weeks.

She screams out for my mom too yelling "Bu-ba" at the top of her lungs. And if you leave the room and she wants to find you she yells it out. But i haven't heard her do that in public (and she's been saying that for a while). Maybe she's shy in public.

Maybe she never loses sight of you in public places.   It could come in handy if she got lost. :)
