Well I'm off to see what the day holds.   I need to go do some grocery shopping today because I was so tired when I got done with the laundry last night I didn't feel like stopping off at the grocery store.

One of the funniest moments for me in a Woody Allen movie was in that documentary he did, WILD MAN BLUES.

Near the end of the film, he goes to visit his very elderly parents, and his father (who probably never approved of his profession) says to him, something like: "Just because you made a couple of movies, that doesn't make you a big shot."

Then, we cut to the parents' bookshelf which holds all of Woody's Oscar statuettes.

I'll bet a lot of us could identify with that moment.

I stopped watching Woody Allen films, or thinking highly about him, when he got involved with Soon-Yi, who's as disgusting as he is.

You're certainly not the only person who feels that way.

My wife certainly does.

I do, however, try to separate the man from his work.

On the other hand, when it comes to Mel Gibson, I find that I'm not able to do that.

No problem with someone putting moves on an adopted daughter but a problem with anti-Semitism or being an ugly drunk? I think they're all repellent,

We had two bananas at my house this morning.

Then my brother in law came over.

Now we have NO bananas at our house either.

BUT we don't have freezing rain either.....it all went East, I think.

I didn't enjoy LAST TANGO IN PARIS when I saw it at a theater about a hundred years ago.  I doubt I would ever want to sit through the film a second time; even in Blue and Ray.

I haven't seen this new Woody Allen film (YOU WILL MEET A TALL DARK STRANGER), but most of the reviews I read it sounded pretty dreadful.

DR MICHAEL S I have been watching your play on YOU TUBE.  Your play makes me laugh, it is very entertaining.  I understand it is a reading, and it is great to see your work done....isn't that you as the Stage Manager/Narrator reading the stage directions?

I guess I just would have liked it more if the lead guy had been a bit younger.

I suppose it is also a sign of our times I asked if it was your pick or guess.  I prefer reading someone's personal choices, not what they think will win.

I'm up after another really good night's sleep - over ten hours.  This is what I needed most and I hope another day or two of it will put me completely right.

DR MBarnum has always been rock bottom. That's why he gets the fire escape.

These "Once In Love With Amy" orchestra parts are tedious! Too full of errors.

DR Jane, I didn't get back on-line to answer your question, but the answer is that I have not yet seen YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN.

Then I think you should give it a try.  It just might be the one Mel Brooks movie you like.

Good!!  You both need to rest.

I saw The Social Network a few days ago and liked it very much. But I would like to read about the differences between the movie and reality.

I liked Marc Zuckerbegr's interview on 60 minutes.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sho-nSWcJjQ
I waited until after I watched the movie to see interviews with him.  I'm glad I did so I wasn't comparing the differences.
