Maybe you should have another teaspoon of codeine, FJL. That works for me.

Good morning.

Ginny, do you go meatless for Lent? Is that one of your denomination's practice?

Only this evening and Fridays.

Rain today and too much company expected.....both irritants that I could do without.

I try not to think too much about the financial industry and the bailout - because there is NOTHING I can do.....no matter how strongly I feel.

The problem is the industry of course.....but MORESO the asses we elect to watch out for us who spend all of their time looking out for themselves.

All of the Indiana Democrat asses went to Illinois instead of working.....and I am sure they are all FULL SALARY while they do it.  They are NOT HEROES!

And today is a cleaning day for me. I actually spent a good hour and a half after I woke up sorting, recycling and purging. And now for a bit more of the same.

Laters...

Question for BK:

When is the NYC trip that you mentioned a few days ago?

I believe I come in on May 9 and leave the morning of the 12th.

I'm up after a night of quite weird dreams, some of which involved the old helper.

FJL, yes, those in the financial industry knew some of the information and most kept it to themselves, as you know.  This film isn't for those people.  This film is for the millions upon millions of people who didn't know exactly how sickening this whole deal was.  Whether the film will reach those people and whether those people, in true American fashion, will just shake their heads and then say, "Oh, well" is something else again.

A sign that people are interested in "Inside Job" is that when I went to place a reservation on it at the library, there were more than 100 reservations ahead of mine.

Our library bought three copies (they're not yet received) and there are 21 requests.

And I even managed to swing by The Big Gay Ice Cream Truck for a "Salty Pimp".  He's out today - and only today! - because he was filming a segment for The Food Network! It was nice to see the truck parked at 17th and Union Square West. A true harbinger of Spring and Summer! :)
