DR Ginny I hope your appointment went well.

Thank you, DR Jane.  Dr. Jain said all my tests are conclusively good and I don't have to go back to see him for a year!

Travel vibes for your DS Craig!

Congrats, Ginny!

I have an Amazon vendor that's got me all bent out of shape: I ordered a long out of print autobiography by the man who wrote the libretto for Victor Herbert's first operetta in 1894 from this jerk. He had a good feedback rating of 98% so I went with him. The reason it's only 98%? Because his really good rating has gone to hell in the past four months! Something must have happened to him because every buyer hayes him. I can't get a response from the ass after three inquiries. and I want that damned book.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned "Jaws" yet - a wonderful classic.
I didn't think "Waterworld" was nearly as bad as everyone said it was. It's definitely a case of managing expectations. I kept hearing it was so terrible I had no choice but be pleasantly surprised when I finally saw it on cable TV.

Amy, that is the real reason you didn't think it was that bad.  You didn't pay to see it!

I paid to see it and was happy enough. :)

I finished my tally of measures in EILEEN (Victor Herbert, 1917) and estimated copy costs: $65,000. I guess it's time to settle down and read more of the Joan McCracken biography.

TOD - OK, I'll admit it.  I like TITANIC (the de Caprio/Winslet version) and George Clooney's THE PERFECT STORM.

Me too.  I'll even admit I saw Titanic 10+ times in the theater.  I can't remember how many times I went, but I loved it every time.

My niece saw it 21 times in the theater...AND paid for me to see it four times so that I would drive her.

LOL  Once was more than enough for me.

I don't think I've seen any pirate movies except Peter Pan.

We have a pirate in the family, though. Actually, a pirate hostage who killed the pirates in a mutiny.

I don't know why, but I have always hated the musical, THE PIRATE.  I love Judy Garland and I love Gene Kelly; but the movie is just stupid to me.
Different tastes is all. Am watching the Gene Kelly "Three Musketeers" right now and am not liking it too much, despite the presence of Gene Kelly, Lana Turner, Angela Lansbury, et al. The sword fighting scenes are telegraphed  a bit too much. Everything's a little too broad and forced. maybe if I were 8 again.

Great photos, Laura. I especially liked the hummingbird. Always nice to see them again. And it's a good reminder to get my hummingbird feeder filled.

I'll have to wait to read them.  I'm off to rehearsal.  We're having a run-through of act 2...and I have no lines in act 2, but I am in the dream ballet.  Tonight will be an easy night.

I think that I might start to work on memorizing my lines.  We have to be off-book by tomorrow. ::)

Actually, I do have my lines memorized...it's just the cue lines that I need to work on memorizing. :D

Until later!
