We then went to a Relax Your Back store where I tried a Teeter Hangup.  I may get one, it felt pretty good.  The hilarious thing is I recognized the store owner from our association probably close to 30 years ago--I was "house" pianist at a very tony downtown Italian men's clothing store which, yes, had a grand piano in the showroom, and he was the ice cream scooper at the place next door I used to frequent on my breaks.

I could use some back relief right now.  I don't know where my shoulder could hang if I tilted like that. ;)

Fun to recognize the store owner from the "old" days. :)

Yesterday, while I was helping a coworker jump start the battery in her car, the power went out in our building.  It was almost 5:00 pm on a Friday, so they closed the building.  I actually had a CD in my computer that's still there.  We found out that there was an accident a couple of miles south of there...Man arrested after chase starting at Millersylvania (Millersylvania is a park south of Olympia).

Anyway, we all left and I went home for a little bit.  I didn't even have time to turn on my computer.  I had to go to my sister's to feed her cats and change their litter boxes.  After that, I went to the theater, where we had our official opening night of Cannibal! The Musical!  We had almost a full house and they were a great crowd.  They were with us most of the time.  Pug, our director, said that it got a little slow in the second act, but overall went quite well.

After the show, a bunch of us went upstairs to the Eagles club and partied and chatted and danced and drank (no one drove drunk, though).  They closed at 2:00 am and several of us were still there.  We decided to walk a couple of blocks to a 24 hour coffee shop and were there for about 45 minutes or so.  Then we all went to our respective homes.  I came home and went directly to bed.

I didn't wake up until after noon, and I watched some TV until now.  I need to take a shower, feed my sister's cats and then go to the theater.  After tonight's show, Pug is having a party at her place.  It's going to be another long night, but tomorrow's performance isn't until 8:00, so I have another day to sleep in. :)

I spent 71 minutes on the phone with 2 different people at AppleCare and, finally, my screen saver is working the way it's supposed to.

Ugh! I really don't want to deal with the basement.  It's drying but I still have some mold and mildew around the edges of the room.  I decided to try borax instead of bleach - mostly because I have it.  I mixed a solution of it and sprayed all the mold.  (there really isn't very much) It's supposed to be a fungicide.  I still need to scrub it all off. Blah.  I just can't bring myself to do it.

If I lived where you do I'm sure I would want one to hide in when a tornado hits.  We have spent time doing so during storms.

Though I admit that the few times I've called Apple Care they were both knowledgable and attentive. Better than your average customer service.

I was also too tired to go anywhere, so I didn't go to a movie. I really want to see The Lincoln Lawyer, Conspirator and Arthur.  So do I do laundry, clean the house and deal with the basement tomorrow....or do I go to a movie?

I am trying out my new AC unit. When my lease was up I decided to stay on, but asked if an AC unit could be installed. Some of the apartments in this building have them, some do not. Mine did not. I was expecting to have to pay for it myself, but the manager readily agreed and took care of it at no cost to me. Nice. I hope it doesn't run up my electric bill too much, though. Last year I positively died on hot days.
