Ashton also rearranges the score and invented that showcase role of the jester in Acts Two and Three for one of the loves of his life, Alexander Grant The Royal Ballet production from the 1980s is fun with rivals Ashton and Helpman playing the sisters. The old tv broadcast with Margot Fonteyn, which I saw around 1956, like THE SLEEPING BEAUTY from around the same time, is really cut down.This DVD has no special features, I think. I'll check after Act Three. Opus Arte really does have better packaging, but maybe Kultur doesn't feel Birmingham rates the same luxury as the Royal Ballet!
