I woke up at 5am and watched the wedding. I don't think i missed much.

I ended up watching CNN cause they had Anderson Cooper who I love. And Cat Deely who I love. I'm just so so on Piers Morgan. But I turned off ABC right away when i saw that they had a ticker tape running throughout the entire wedding??  What were they thinking?

I thought Cilla might be here

Cilla has been extremely tired all week....so, she set the DVR, turned off the alarm and went to sleep.

I didn't wake up until after 8:30 AM.   I am watching the recording now, but will be going to work and will watch more later

JR, your cousins may have found their hairbrush, but they are both still evidently looking for their CHINS.  Yee-gads!  ;)

Happy Birthday, Vixter.  Now that you're 18, it's time to do something reckless and insane, just to prove you're an adult.  ;)

MEDIA CHECK:

BDs:  Lots of review stuff.  Am doing THE DILEMMA today, and also probably the Laurel and Hardy BABES IN TOYLAND, where I believe a certain DR will receive a nice mention in the review.  ;)

CDs:  Also lots of stuff.  Have been listening a lot to Eden Atwood's Bossa Nova album, which is delightful.  Also got a nice remix album yesterday of a Brasilian guy I'm sure none of you has ever heard of, though he does work with Caetano Veloso's son in a group.

TOD:  The royal wedding is in my DVR cache along with last night's "Bones" and "The Mentalist".  I was zonked yesterday evening and hit the sheets at 9 p.m.  Slept very well, thanks.

Good morning, all! Did someone say BABES IN TOYLAND? I've been up for about two hours dealing with emails pertaining to Toyland, the office and the show. Just when you think it's been killed by the California office, it makes an effort to rise from the dead. As is par for the course, the person I heard from today is the very intelligent, rational emissary from the Cambridge Bach project who reviewed our office in June 2009, and it took our leader - par for the course - only 22 months to speak to him about our plight.

Today, Victor Herbert and the Ziegfeld Follies, Appalachian carols. I've also got to make plans to visit a local social security office and prepare for Hgh Old Cootdom.

TOD:
DVD:  Downton Abbey, a couple of operas, Roman Holiday
CD:  Victor Herbert songs (2nd Edit), Oil City Symphony, Oklahoma!, Guy Haines, Liz Callaway
   VCR: My eyes!

DD Vixter:  Now that you are 18, you're a full-fledged adult.   From henceforth, every wedding anniversary of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will be your anniversary of adulthood.

Happy 18th Birthday, DD (of DR vixmom) Vixter!!!

My friend Bruce Pomahac just sent me an email saying that the OKLAHOMA! opening night performance at the North Carolina School of the Arts went beautifully. Tonight is the gala.

More Toyland emails. Oy!

I had to drive across town this morning, so I had the radio on in the car. I became very weary of the repeated news about The Wedding. I suppose the news reports will go on all day.

I absolutely loved all the hats and fascinators the ladies wore to the weddings. I would love to try on a fascinator!

Who votes these asses into power? The ratio of rich to poor must surely be on the poor's side, and why would any woman vote for this jerk?

Have just had a fascinating series of emails from the Tamiment Archives at NYU.  I'm not sure if this is documentation I already have, but they evidently have a big file of FBI docs on my infamous Uncle Charlie.  They're sending me copies.
