I went headed back to the James Beard Foundation "Pop-Up" in Chelsea Market,
JBF LTD, earlier today for a couple of events.
First up was a "Steak Tasting". They had four different types of beef to sample. It was quite informative. And delicious. It was cool getting to try different types of beef side-by-side. -And since there weren't that many people there, most of us in attendance ended up being able to have a nice portion.

Then April Bloomfield and her chefs de cuisine from The Breslin prepared a Spring Soup. Beans (three types, sunchokes, asparagus, ramps, spring garlic, broccoli raab, shallots, some salt and some olive oil. It was quite yummy! -And, again, since there weren't that many people in attendance, well...

And, then finally, Emily Luchetti, author of "Fearless Baking", gave a talk about common mistakes made by home bakers. At the end of her presentation, she brought out her "3:00 PM Chocolate Pick-Me-Up Cookies". About six dozen of them. And there were only about 20 people there, so...

*I should have brought a small box or bag. But I did manage to have four of them.
