BK, the Variety article informs the breathless public that Mark Burnett, the guru behind SURVIVOR, will be producing this year's Emmys.  One can only hope that means losers will be voted out of the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion or wherever they're being held.  :)

Did I just date myself by mentioning the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion?  Who the frell was Dorothy Chandler, anyway, and why did she need a pavilion for crying out loud?

I believe pavilion is my new favorite word.  Pavilion.  Yes, yes, it is.

I tried the site DRJRand60 recommended, and nothing turned up. I know he's been reported dead but I find nothing. Perhaps he was killed in Viet Nam? I wonder if there are armed forces records? If so, which branch?

Kritzerland at the Gardenia 9 was fabulous last night! Mark and I both really enjoyed it. This was the fourth one we've been too, and in familiar fashion, this one didn't disappoint. I do remember someone saying, "key change" in the middle of a song, but I couldn't remember who or what song. Now I know, and I know why. Poor thing. The kid performances were great, complete with choreography and Alet Taylor was wonderful as well as hilarious. I missed hearing Damon Kirsch at this one, but Jason Graae was terrific, as usual. And we even got to hear Bruce sing a little! Actually, it would be nice if Guy Haines was added to the cast for a whole song. We miss his voice too. After hearing the two versions of "Dance a Little Closer," I must say, I think Guy Haines's version, which was performed at S.T.A.GE., was superior.

It used to be free at the SS site.....now they charge.  The link I posted first was a "geneaology" site....so now I guess you have to pay to use it, if you want accurate info.

Mark, once again, ordered linguini with butter and olive oil. As you may recall, last time they brought him a plate of hot dry pasta, a dish of butter, and a bottle of olive, so he could make it himself. Well, this time they actually melted the butter and put it on his pasta for him, and just brought him the bottle of olive oil to apply as he wished. And he ate it all up.

The prices at NTIS are to die for--literally.  $995 for an annual subscription?  I'll just wait until I'm dead and check around to see who's "there" at that time.  :)

Wasn't there a time when "pavilion" was spelled with two "l's"? "pavillion" ???

And how come it's spelled "pronunciation", and not "pronounciation"? -When the verb is "pronounce". ???

The original French is pavillon, an excellent film with Dustin Hoffman and Steve McQueen.

I would like you all to please start using the word 'pavilion' as much as possible, and preferably completely out of any comprehensible context, for the rest of the day.  Thanks in advance.
