And then we'll be at Joe Allen.

If you're still there around 9:30... I'll at least try to stop by and say HI!

~~~~~BROKEN LEG AND GOOD AUDIENCE VIBES TO THE SINGER AND OUR VERY OWN BK~~~~~
She has a couple of CDs on Amazon...click HERE for some audio clips.  This is another of her CDs, but there aren't any audio clips.
I like her voice. :)
THIS is another CD by a Laura Wolfe, and the singer certainly sounds like her, but the picture doesn't look exactly like her.  AND this CD isn't mentioned in her bio on her website.
BK, do you know if this is the same singer?
Last I heard, he was going to be on a ship for a year.
???
I din't think the British navy is impounding sailors these days. Billy Budd was the last, I believe.
Greetings from Toyland!
You mean with Nathan Gunn?  Or should that be Gunns?
OMG!  When did they finally get the message dept.....
I stopped directing or considering Tams-Witmark musicals because for smaller parts they sent "sides" - and you lost a week or more of rehearsals because people didn't get how to use them OR you had to copy lots of parts.....
BUT as I was looking at the material for CAMELOT that arrived yesterday - I find that they now send small books with complete scenes for the characters!!!
I am so very happy.....no more struggling and no more copying.....plus with the extra one I ordered....I have 5 full scripts for major characters!
Thanks, T-W!  Your catalog is back in my folder!
I'm not exactly sure what this means, JRand, but you're as happy as I would be if car makers would put ashtrays in cars again.
TOD
Wildcat: with Lucille Ball and Keith Andes or LIL ABNER
Something that Tom Wopat was in many years ago, perhaps.
I got to see the very first performance of Catch Me If You Can in Seattle with Tom Wopat. :D
I saw the very first performance of TITANIC.  I had to wait around afterward to give Victoria Clark hugs from elmore!
so i am getting a pin put in my wrist tomorrow morning.  it was that or a cast all the way up my arm.  a pin should work better and then i'll only need a splint, except i can't remove it for at least 4 weeks.  i am going to have a terrible time coping with the itching and confinement.  i'm also extremely sensitive to pressure.  i just loosened the bandages on my current splint as it hurt too much.  i suspect i won't have that option after tomorrow.
Why is the singer always referred to as the singer, and never by name? Or is the singer, the singer's name? I confused.
Anyway, I hope a bigger crowd then is expected turns out for the show, BK!
I always try to spell neither wrongly.
"I" before "E", except after "C".....except when that isn't correct. Learning English must be awful.
Actually, I was chatting with a guy from Mexico the other week and complimented him on his English. He did mention that English is a very, very difficult language to learn and that many of his Spanish speaking friends prefer not to speak English in public, because they are embarassed that they are not speaking it correctly.
I thought that was very interesting.
Did she acknowledge she even knew me? She cut me dead after the second performance, before I had a chance to congratulate her on another subtle performance.
I am home. I just got in, and it's too late to change out of my play clothes and get to the show. I really had hoped we'd be finished by 5:30 so I'm a bit irritable. It's hard moving a group when there are several opinions and other options to weigh. We did get a lot accomplished. We laid out the routining, and I wrote out some things that will probably change once we learn the ranges of the singers. I also worked up with the Musical Director a nice haunting accompaniment for "The West Virginia Mine Disaster."
So, I'm feeling very good about this Appalachian piece but I feel terrible about the situation at the Metropolitan Room for Laura. I asked Ben this morning in an email if he and Anthony were going to attend, and I hope others show up.
You do? You haven't used the English language correctly in years!
What the world does not need: a tour of "Wonderland." Why can't it just close and go away?
