My visit with Dr Jane, Keith and dog Sherlock was a highlight of the trip!

We met at the Bi-Mart in Ashladn (where I worked the Christmas season of 1983) and the we headed up the mountain for our hike. It is so, totally beautiful there!!!!

:)  We had a great time!!  Sherlock really likes you.  I wish I had a photo of him sitting in front of you on the trail, his expression was so sweet.

And indeed we did eat at the Ashland Springs Hotel's restaurant...man was that some good food!

Jane posted shots of the hotel, but I took a couple of photos myself. Note the surrounding mountains, which make the whole Rogue Valley such a gorgeous place!

I like your photo the best.  Sometimes we sit outside the restaurant on nice days & have lunch.  There is one section where the sidewalk is wider & the crowds that gather around Sherlock don't completely block the sidewalk.

DR Jane had me take a snap of some type of flower for DR Laura, but unfortunately it did not turn out. But here it is...

it is the only wildflower i ever remember the name of, paintbrush, which i think it looks like.

For dessert we all had the MOST delicious chocolate cake I have ever eaten. It was so moist it was almost pudding like!!!

I still have a couple of bites left from the half i brought home.  i'm sure you are impressed as the cakes aren't very big.

when the weather is nice we sometimes eat lunch outside if the small section with the expanded sidewalk is available.  We need the extra room so people can get pass the crowds that tend to gather round Sherlock.

I probably would have slept later had the telephonic device not been ringing - hence, I am up.

Someone called me at 5:30 a.m. on a Saturday morning a week or so ago.

I was awake at that time but I wasn't on the phone, I was eating breakfast and surfing the inner workings of the Internet.

Tonight after rehearsal, and before I watch all of DR MBARNUM's DVD's....perhaps I shall enjoy a performance of the original cast of Camelot......
