Tonight is just a run through - we do not have to wear our costumes or put on makeup. We only have to say the words, sing the songs, and do the motions.
Then I was awakened about about nine-forty by the doorbell. It was Fed Ex delivering me a note from Harvey Schmidt - he and Tom have decided they just don't like the musical performances on The Fantasticks soundtrack and would rather not have it out there. I could still do it, but they are friends of mine and so why bother with something that would make them unhappy. Plus, it's probably best in a way, as it would be costly to mix the orchestral-only cues and then I just don't think sales would be that great.
...never gonna give you up.Never gonna let you down..Stop THAT!!!
I am also sorry not to have the FANTASTICKS soundtrack, but there are many stage versions available to enjoy.
I have just received a package from Amazon.com, containing some items that I had ordered. The original Broadway cast recording of Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown, Ricky Ian Gordon's Green Sneakers and on BK's recommendation, The Illusionist (I loved The Triplets of Belleville)!Just had to share.
Happy Anniversary to DR Jane and Keith! There's an almost identical picture of me feeding cake to Richard in our wedding album. We also took the "no smashing" pledge beforehand!
Jane you were a beautiful bride not that you're not still beautiful.
