Tonight is Opening Night of THE MUSIC MAN....and we are SOLD OUT!!

The last time we did THE MUSIC MAN - I directed it.....and my part of Mayor Shinn....was played by....Ernie Ford.

My deepest sympathies to you, Jack, and to all of Ernie's family, friends, and especially to all of those people who were touched by Ernie's gift over the years.

Pretty much. Her hearing aids got "lost" the last time she was moved from The Home to the hospital to rehab to The Home. She can't afford new ones, she says.

DR Cillaliz - thanks for the photos.  I've been checking all day for an update from you.

It's still really strange.  We know the water is coming, but it isn't here yet, well there is flooding, but it's hard to imagine the flooding that they say is coming our way.  No one knows exactly what is going to happen.  There are all sorts of crazy rumors spreading like wildfire.  The way they are suddenly shutting off areas to the public and really building levees, dikes and berms or whatever you want to call them, makes me think maybe the news is worse than they first told us.

The two things that they didn't start talking about until today are water table and run off if we keep having rain. One area has been told that they have evacuate by tomorrow, another is being advised to get out because of the water table and at the minimum to get everything out of their basements and move it to a upper level.

This is surreal.  It's also very distracting.  I'm having a terrible time trying to get any work done.  That's why I gave up this afternoon and went on a photo expedition.   I plan to document it all in photos.  I did that when we had a flood at the lake in 1993.  It's fascinating to look back, haven't done that in awhile

Back from picking up my sunglasses at the Gardenia, and then I got brave and ate two poached eggs and some white rice.  That helped the tummy, I think, and now I won't faint from hunger.
