Just now, as I've been suffering through listening to the (thankfully free) stream of the SPIDER-MAN TURN OFF THE DARK ocr, THE BOOK OF MORMON cd was delivered to my desk.  Switching to it immediately!

The last few minutes of IFM (original) - the escape from the buried saucer and all of the memories....whew!!!  And then the reveal.....unforgettable!

Co-starring the former Mr. Frances Farmer, of course.

My Bolt Bus left a little late from Union Station, but ended up getting to 33rd & 7th right on time at 1:00.

And as I was waiting to board the Bolt Bus, I noticed an old friend in line, and since it was a full bus, we sat together for the ride back up to DC. He used to be the head of group sales at Arena Stage, but then left his "desk job" to pursue a full-time acting career. -Oh, and before he was a group sales agent, he was a lawyer. We had a good catch up session.

I've heard the SPIDER-MAN score before on a badly recorded ootlegbay.  But having heard this clearer version I have to say, without a doubt, that is the least theatrical musical score in the history of musical theatre.

I am back from Dayton earlier than expected because I had only enough parking meter money to get me an hour and 10 minutes.  Yes, I could have gotten more change from the Check Out desk and gone back out to feed the meter, but it's too HOT for an extra walk to and from my car.  I did get a little grant research done and visited with a couple of my favorite former co-workers.

Leaving for a very hot audition and rehearsal.  Hopefully the troublesome people will stay home and be "too tired" to come over to the theatre.

For the troublesome folks at audition, you can always call them to the stage and then say, "NEXT!"

Back from a sandwich and picking up some packages.  Shall now do a little proofing, after which some writing, after which I shall be on my way to Grant's.

Forty years ago (or thereabouts), I'd have thought you were speaking of a five-and-ten-cent store!

Last night I just wasn't tired.  I looked up and it was almost 1:00 AM.  Needless to say when the alarm went off this morning I didn't want to get up

I started with a fairly productive day, but made the mistake of watching the daily news briefing on the flood.  I think I have compassion fatigue.    I'm pretty fascinated with it all and am TOTALLY distracted by it all.   I can't seem to get my work done, and it's driving me crazy.

But I'm fatigued, so I don't care that it's driving me crazy ;)   Sort of like sitting back calmly thinking....'You know, I think this is driving me crazy...hmm...what do you know about that"  perhaps I should eat some ice cream
