I think we've found a show I could do, Kevin!

Sounds good!

I had a doctor's appointment today.  My doctor moved a couple of years ago --he's now over 30 miles away.  I guess I should switch doctors.

In line with today's topic, are any New Yorkers (or anyone else) planning on seeing Silence, the Musical?

I'm hoping I can somehow get up to see it somehow during the run of Oklahoma!. A couple members of the cast have been posting pics from the first day of rehearsal via Twitter today.

And I'm guessing you saw this photo gallery from today's Meet and Greet on Broadway.com.

My spaghetti was quite deelish. I've got a couple of new books to read and a little tv to watch.

DR Ginny, you should have watched the BBC Shkespeare AS YOU LIKE IT with Helen Mirren.  Or the one from the Globe, which I haven't seen. It's one of my least favorite Shakespeare comedies. Give me TWELFTH NIGHT!

Yes, I just saw it.  And since I'm a big fan of Lucia Spina, I really have to see the show.

I thought you were kidding about "Silence, the Musical."

DR Elmore - I picked AS YOU LIKE IT because it was the only Shakespeare audio available at the Dayton Metro Library branch that I frequent.  There's a lot of build-up in the first 2 acts, but nothing much seems to have happened.  On to Act III...

Had a lively work session with John Boswell, and he's on track with all the material for the Gardenia show.  We really only had to do a handful of arranging things.

You can hear some of the songs and find other info about the show at this site.

Then I had a nice telephonic conversation with dear reader Jose, and I'm happy to announce that he'll be musical directing the Lost In Boston show at LACC.

I thought it was a joke -- you know, like it is silent in the theater for 2.5 hours.

Does anyone remember reading that a movie theater overseas once played The Sound of Music without the songs?

I know.  The first thing I did when I opened HHW this evening was to see if he was here.

I'm annoyed at my mail carrier.   As I mentioned I went to the doctor, so I was home in the early afternoon.  There was no mail at that time.    I went down to get my mail at about 5:30 and there was a slip showing I have a package to pick up (from Kritzerland, as a matter of fact).  The mailman/mailwoman obviously didn't even check to see if I were home--just assumed I wasn't, apparently.

For those asking, we open on November 30th and play six performances between then and December 3.  A combo platter of evenings and matinees.  And I'm sure we'll take Jose on a few dining adventures while he's here.  Very excited to have him involved in this.

And in another Jose/BK connection, I've hired our What If choreographer Cheryl Baxter to do a little work on the LA episodes of the web series.  Adam Cates is involved in the NY episodes.
