Hope all is well with you Danise. I am sure we all want to hear all your news when you have the time to write in full. I so envy you being able to see those shows. I so want to see "Wicked".

Well folks,

Here I am in my last night in the big city.  I just came from seeing Boy from Oz.  Will have to tell you all about it when I get home tomorrowl.

I leave at 9:20 Am from the hotel but won't get home until 3:30 in the afternoon.

I had a last very nice night with my friend from the other board and some others I was introduced to.  The five of us went to Barrymores for after show coffee (tea for me) but I will tell you about it when I arrive home.

Talk to you all then.

Thank you again, Elmore and Jane.  I will never forget how you made the week work for me.

Gotta go.

Wow!  And now Danise's name is there, and it wasn't when I wrote the previous post.

WE MISS YOU, DANISE!!

Thanks, Tom. I did, but my mom didn't.

The Circle K by our house used to have Cherry Coke in the soda fountain, but then they took it out. Now they don't even have it in cans or bottles. What is this world coming to?

I want to put an interesting topic on the table, then must get back to work... Just read that Gwyneth Paltrow is going to play Marlene Dietrich in a biopic. In the article it said that Louis Malle was developing a Dietrich bio to star Uma Thurman. That project died with Malle, (John Guare was to have written it.) So - who do you think would make a better screen Dietrich -- Gwyneth or Una (or someone else of your choice)? And - do you think it's possible to portray someone as iconic? (AND how can you possibly take it seriously and not think of Madeline Kahn as you watch?)

Charles Pierce

It's a choice.... ::)

When did What If become a topic today?  Did I miss it?  Or was someone searching the archive here at haineshisway.com or at sondheim.com?

I think DR mrkdl73 was most likely just coming up with a "What If" on his own.  -And since he's doing a show right now with show folk, maybe they were coming up with "What Ifs".

-That sounds good for now...

There are so many things running around in my head that the top may just blow off -- but I have absolutely nothing to post. Strange but true, DRs. I'll post anyway, just to burn those home fries.

What Ifs, while I'm sure had been done in the past, were made popular and famous by The Real A at sondheim.com starting in 1997 I believe.

I have nothing to post either, except that I just got the fastest time doing a puzzle online. See? Puzzles, Bookworm... There is just so much that I can do. Too bad none of it is good for anything.

I, for one, would like to know how long it took to make your million-plus score in Bookworm.

Three hours?  Should I believe this time?  I've played for two hours to get to my highest score of 290,000 plus.  Don't you hunt for the best words, or do you just keep going doing whatever leaps out at you?
