Well, you've read the notes, the notes were refurbished, and now it is time for you to post until the refurbished cows come home.

Friday morning greetings!  The rest of our household is still sleeping, but I've been awake for about an hour.  In addition to my other cousin (Dan) and his wife arriving from Japan, we're expecting my sister and her husband from Michigan and their daughter from Illinois.  The cousins and my sister's family will all stay at the Comfort Inn between here and the retirement community (and near the outlet mall, which delights the cousins' wives!).  That will make our guest room available for Mary Linda and her sister who are also arriving from Michigan this evening.

Thank you to DRs Vixmom and John G, whose condolences I found this morning.

Good Morning!

I'm up, I'm up... And I got up around 6:20... Then tried to go back to bed, but realized I wasn't sleepy, so... I'm up.

And now I'm watching the coverage of the "fallout" of Rep. Weiner's resignation. If I hear one more person say something along the lines of "It will be nice not to have that distraction getting in the way of our work", well... If they didn't make it such a distraction, well... Next!

Oh...

And in DC traffic news...

Not only are there downed power lines in Tysons Corner blocking traffic in both directions on Route 7, but there's also a "suspicious vehicle" parked by the Pentagon which has caused the closure of all the roads around the Pentagon. I won't be heading in until closer to 9:00 this morning, but, alas, I'm suspecting both traffic snarls will probably end up affecting my commute somehow. :-\

I still haven't heard from the "actor" who is not sure he will take the role, since I cast the man who played Harold Hill as Arthur.

So we wait.  And wait.  He is a director himself and he knows how difficult casting can be and how much trouble "difficult" people can be.....you would think HE would not put someone else in this position.  I would like to have him in the show, but knowing one way or the other would be most helpful.

Getting to work vibes for DR JOSE.

Thank You, DR JRand. -Thankfully, I don't have to be there at a particularly time today, and the commute on the Orange Line gives me time to read the newspapers too.

DR Jose - only Mary Linda and her sister will actually be staying with us, but we will have lots of my relatives in the area.

Good morning, all! I woke around 7:30, opened  the blinds and saw how gray it was and went back to bed for another hour. This is another aimless day for me with no EILEEN work, but yesterday I began a project that I can work on at my liesure and will keep me busy for some time to come .

I remember none of my dreams from last night, so I have no colorful tales this morning. The first thing I need to do when I finish my coffee is pay my bills and get the checks into the post. Later, I'll call my brother Randy, whose 54th birthday is today, and tell him I love him. It will be nice to talk to my beloved sister-in-law JoAnn as well.  I also need to call Local 802 about my meager pension, as long as I'm making calls this week about social security and other things pertaining to my Old Cootdom.

TOD:
DVD: I have three films from Netflix sitting here and for the life of me I have no idea of their titles!
CD: unreleased Victor Herbert music for cello and piano, Guy Haines, Liz Callaway, Bitter Sweet (Coward)
  VCR: this porn is stale!

I guess BK is outdoing me.

He's serving cake at his book signing tomorrow (18).

I'm speaking tomorrow at the Faulk Central Library in Austin, but we're only serving cookies.

 :(

Okay, I'll up the ante.

If you fly in to hear me talk, I'll see that you get 2 cookies!

I'm looking at the clutter in my apartment and thinking about moving some furniture. I would kill for another room, even another closet.
