DD Ben will do what he wants to do, when he wants to do it.  Typical German.

(no offense to HUMAN Germans here, of course)

I resemble that remark! >:(

Shocked that none of our experts could figure out the Snoopy song line "I know now you can't rain a violet."  I couldn't either, but the thirteen-year-old's mother did (I even googled "rain" and "violet" and got zilch) - the song April Showers - "It's raining violets."  Mystery solved.

I told the mother to give herself a mid-show standing ovation.  She did.

DR ELMORE I bought a copy of TERROR: IN THE SHADOW OF THE GUILLOTINE.....looks most interesting.  Had to settle for a used paperback....English hardcover is available used for over $100!

I'm glad I got mine when it was published! I can sell it for $100? That will almost buy me a ticket to BOOK OF MORMON.

Only one hard cover copy available for $111.25.....give it a few days and maybe you can get that ticket.

And in other Sondheim-related news... ???

"Stephen Sondheim's Company with The New York Philharmonic" will be making a return engagement to select cinemas in July. Dates and times still TBA.

Hoo and Ray!  HOPEFULLY it'll come to Olympia!

Well, we're at forty-three percent of our Kickstarter goal.  Very nice news for four days in, but now becomes the hard part - getting the other fifty-seven percent - keeping the interest alive and getting the word out so people don't forget.  But very heartening so far.

Nice photos, Ginny. It must be a relief for it to all be over.

Yes, the worst of it is over, DR Laura.  The cousins and their wives will be here for dinner this evening, but they're bringing the food.  Tomorrow, Jess is flying to Florida to be in a wedding and the guys and Yukko are going to Pittsburgh to see their dad.  They're leaving Perry's truck with what's left of Aunt Jo's furniture in our garage and will be back for it before caravanning back to GA later in the week.

Today's burning question raised by yesterday's posts department:

George's father is named Pearl Django?   ;D

Umm...yeah...that's right... ::)

And now...

I need to take a couple of minutes to go through the clothes I pulled from storage yesterday, and then I need to get ready to head out for the rest of my day - which seems to be more jam-packed with each new email and phone call this morning.

It turns out I might not need to play the auditions this afternoon since the New York casting director went ahead and hired his own. So, I may just be "behind the table" as staff. :)

No need for pants, then.

Actually, when I'm at the piano, I don't have to wear pants. Alas, most audition rooms are equipped with folding tables, and said tables don't have "modesty panels".

And your point is...??

There's some plain looking people on Broadway right now....it seems....along with some pretty ones.

I have recently been on an Ibsen kick...reading WHEN WE DEAD AWAKEN and JOHN GABRIEL BORKMAN, re-confirming my opiinion that Henrik Ibsen is one of the greatest playwrights in the world.  I also recently plowed through Bernard Cornwall's entire Saxon series of historical novels about centered around the time of Alfred the Great. Terrific stuff  And I've read Bob Crais latest mystery, THE SENTRY.  Crais is allways a good read.

Call me old fashioned and hopelessly out of date, but could you imagine stars like Merman, Martin, Preston, Raitt or people of their ilk ever doing a Broadway Bares All benefit?

You could start posting some teaser bits on YouTube along with the KickStarter link on Twitter and Facebook.

Well, the BIG stars don't take anything off.  They just officiate (so to speak...)
