I saw William Daniels onstage in 1776 and was completely captivated.
TOD: When I was a kid, my family went to Germany to visit Mom's side of the family. While we were there, we were in Heidelberg on the Fourth. There was a tremendous fireworks display, largely for the American troops and their families, and it was set off against the backdrop of the castle ruins. It was spectacular. Haven't seen the likes of it sense.
Perhaps I will force Gabe to watch 1776. I tried to force both boys to watch OLIVER! years ago and they've refused to come close to a musical ever since.
