So here's another one!   ;D

This is Eleanor on the left who is Lady Anne (Kayla as Lady Sybill on the right)....she also played Mrs Paroo in THE MUSIC MAN.

Last night when someone said something about ....bring on the stunt man......I started to say "Your stunt c##k is here"......until I remembered where I was.

Today Miss Eleanor says she remembers seeing TFNM at the theatre back in the day.....but she can only remember one line....and that is....Miss Diana Canova's line:  "Eet's just so beeg!!"   ;D

Whew!  I am back from a fun day in Cincinnati.  Met my friend Patty for a Vera Bradley tea party, then went to Kenwood Towne Center for a couple of little errands and a 2-hour session at Nordstrom's.  I have now been professionally fitted for unmentionables and will look fabulous in my mother-of-the-groom outfit.  All I need now is shoes - I'm thinkin' black patent sandals...

I seemed to have missed the dress part.  I didn't know you had purchased one.  Which dress did you decide on?

DR Jane, I "created" one from a cobalt blue chiffon skirt that I found at Nordstrom's and a 2-piece sparkly top from Draper & Damon's (online) that coordinates perfectly.  I can also wear those pieces with black pants on our cruise.

A blue chiffon skirt over a black pair of pants?  ;)

I like number 1 -- the red curtain makes it look like a musical.

I like number 1 best too.

I really should have finished the garage tonight, but just couldn't bring myself to do it....so the recliner won out.

It's supposed to rain a lot in the next week, so it looks like I'll finish the garage tomorrow night, if it isn't too hot, humid or raining....

I ended up liking the third choice best because even though I like the red curtains......it might be a bit misleading.....the NUDIE MUSICAL production in the movie is a movie and not a stage show, though someone new on the block might think it's about a NUDIE STAGE SHOW....not a NUDIE MOVIE MUSICAL.....if you get what I'm saying.

That was my thinking for preferring #3 - but I do like them all.  A tough, excellent group of choices

*Alas, my name is spelled with an accent - José - which probably means that it's spelled that way in the program. Guess I'll find out tomorrow.

Nope. Our legal papers got sent to some random stranger.

 :o ???

That's how I feel, Jane.

Alas (part 2), due to a clerical error in Arena's payroll office, the same thing happened to my paycheck today. :-\

Hey everyone.  Nothing to report.  Just working on 4  - count them - 4 shows at the moment.  My gig bag is heavier and heavier as the day progresses.  The Wiz opens and closes next week.  I'll be glad when that show is done.  It is really not my favorite show at all.  I hate playing it, because... DUH, I'm WHITE and have NO groove or improv skills whatsoever.  I'll get by, the kids are great, the band will be fine (keys, guitar, bass, drums, sax) -- and we'll have a good time.  But never again!

And I do enjoy working on Curtains quite a lot.  I find it witty, fun, and it's definitely a lost treasure.  Of course, it's over-scored, and over written (vocally)

DR Matthew - So... The Wiz, Curtains... And what are the other two shows you're working on right now?

Otherwise...

I'm trying to decide if I want to make a quick trip back to NYC this coming Monday, or just enjoy the day off here in DC. I will be back up on the following Monday, so... We shall see.

Give yourself a break & relax. :)

DR Jane - Well... Part of me would like to take that break and relax in NYC. ;)

I think we're pretty much a go on number three - I'm having him do one last alternate version of number three with her title costume in the same red as her lips - I didn't like it in gold, but red might be fun, although the black is elegant and does stand out just fine.
