JMK, you are misremembering - I don't believe Daniels ever toured with the show - it was always Patrick Bedford - I remember that vividly because I'd loved Bedford in Up The Down Staircase.

Back from various and sundried errands and whatnot.  I did the four-mile jog, I picked up one package and the important envelope and now I'm home and we rehearse in one hour.

Jon Cypher, who played Thomas Jefferson in the 1776 national company, used to be my marriage counselor.

My first wife and I were going to a counselor and, at one session, the therapist asked if he could bring in an intern.

That intern was Jon Cypher, who I had actually met 3-4 months before through Howard Keel.

I guess he was going back to school just in case his acting career petered out.

Whether he ever got his counseling certificate, I don't know, because a few months later, he was playing "Peron" in EVITA at the Shubert...and then his film/TV career really took off with HILL STREET BLUES and lots of other stuff.

He also did a very good western with Burt Lancaster, VALDEZ IS COMING.

Anybody know what Jon is doing these days?
The last time i saw him was in the extras on the Rodgers and Hammerstein Cinderella DVD with Julie Andrews. But I can't remember if he said what was up with him. I think he was just happy to be invited back for the reminiscing.

Great news. And I'm off to a nap, too.

Greetings from our home in Middletown, Ohio!  Richard and I arrived here about 90 minutes ago after a pretty uneventful drive from Williamsburg, KY.  Sorry I disappeared without saying BYE FOR NOW this morning, but the wireless at the hotel was quite wonky and I just shut gave up and everything down.

Thanks, DR Jane.  I haven't decided if I'm going to Lima tomorrow.  Mary Linda is here and she and Rob are with friends in Cincinnati this evening.  Tomorrow may be my only chance to visit with her, so I'll probably stay home to do just that.

I must stay in.   Need to clean up the mess I started last weekend (unpacking from more than a year ago).

Lots of music to listen to.  ;D    I can almost get to most of my cd's.

Lots of movies finally unpacked and easily accessible.  ;D

At least Yogi has one trait better than Sherlock, I can walk him on a leash & he doesn't pull me.  We took both dogs for a walk today.  It was rather muggy out, not surprising as showers & isolated storms are predicted.

We are driving to a wedding in California & are not sure we have room in the car to carry a gift with us.  I keep thinking of the sales tax & shipping costs we could save.  Everything I like on the gift registry seems to be heavy & I'm not used to a sales tax.

If you're talking about the Los Angeles production, it was at the Dorothy Chandler.

We had season tickets that year.

I might save a little (I've compared a few thing) but then they could end up with duplicates they can't return.  I'm comparing shipping for various items & it doesn't seem as bad as I expected.  I'm not keen on the china options, not that it should matter but I kind of like giving something I like.  I might go with it anyway or a combination of the heavier items.

Check Amazon's web site to see if they are by chance registered there. Or have the store where they are registered send it.

Thw Shubert was the theatre in Cincinnati where 1776 played, and I believe that is where DR Charles Pogue saw it. Perhaps we were at the same performance.

I am back from a lovely visit, dish, and dine session with Mr Bruce Pomahac. Reputations are shattered, careers ruined, andmorales boosted. I will take my meds nd watch THE DUCHESS OF DUKE STREET.

They are registered at Target & Bed Bath & Beyond.  The china is with Bed, Bath, etc.   I don't see anything at Amazon-oh well.  The shipping isn't bad at $27.97.  I hate that you have to fill in the billing info to find out what the tax is.  I'm surprised I found out the shipping cost up front.

Wow, tax is more than shipping.

Keith just let Kitty out of the bathroom and it hasn't been 20 minutes since I fed her.  I hope she doesn't throw up.  Worse it will be under the bed unless she comes out now that I have left the room.

Had a fun and good rehearsal, gave notes, and then had my splurge meal o' the week - small Caesar salad, pasta with sausage and red sauce, and a little thing of chocolate toffee mousse for dessert.  So, I think with the four-mile jog I'll be fine.
