Good news, TCB.  :)

I assume this means we can all start talking about cancer again.  ;)

It wasn't cancer that I was worried about, but rather MS.

MS was my first thought when you mentioned your friend's comment.  I didn't suspect it & figured it was related to your back/spine.  After the cancer comment my brain went to weight loss. Too bad because reading about this says to lose weight which is very difficult to do when you can't exercise.

I did not go to work today.  I had so much trouble getting the wheelchair out of the car last night (and that is the easy part); I just knew that I would never be able to get it in the car thsi morning.

DR TCB, how soon will you know the results of your MRI? Your situation is terrible and I want some solutions for you.

I got the MRI results back today.  I have severe spinal stenosis at L1-L2 with mild bilateral foraminal stenosis.

Quote
Spinal Stenosis is a condition due to narrowing in and around the spinal canal causing nerve pinching which leads to persistent back pain, pain in the buttocks, limping, lack of feeling in the lower extremities, and decreased physical activity.

That is great news for me, because it means that all of my numbness and falling down is fixable!

My wife had that.

MS and MD run in Betsy's family.  It's become much more treatable.  In fact Betsy's former boss, former SOS Bill Bradbury, has MS and manages it quite well.

Depends what type too, aggressive or remission.  Remission is much better.

I've bathed and I'm going to bed. I have to be down to the McGlinnventory early and I don't know how well I will sleep tonight. If I end up sleeping past 7:30 am, I can just wash my face tomorrow morning when I brush my teeth on my way out the door.

I caught a rerun of last night's RIZZOLI & ISLES episode, guessed the killer halfway through it, and felt very good about it. I never ever guess the killer.

DR TCB good news that your back can be fixed.

Is it possible for you to ask them to call you if there are any cancellations?  That is a long time to have to wait. Vibes you can get in sooner. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I went to watch my niece's swimming and sychro lessons today. I also went to my first ever aqua fitness class.

Even though I didn't find it very tiring (i felt like i could exercise for another hour after the hour was over) it did use a lot of muscles i don't normally use. There was some good arm and leg work. So it was interesting.

And then tonight at my niece's soccer game the person who brought the food for the team had the best snacks. They had Delmonte frozen yogurt bars. So good. ANd it was one of the girl's birthdays and her mom made the best chocolate chip cookies!

I'm thinking I know who at least one of our GUESTS is, since one of our GUESTS has been reading every single post about What If, Deceit, and the very first reading of The Brain at LACC - one person is peculiar to each of those shows and my guess is they may be feeling a little nostalgic right now.

DR Jennifer you must be in excellent shape & need a more difficult aqua fitness class.

I could go for the best chocolate chip cookie.

I was just looking to see who's been searching what on this here site recently - not much action there but I did find this written in June - I didn't know you could write something in our search engine but apparently you can.  This was written the day I posted about the bad experience with the rotisserie chicken at the Hamlet - we must really be Google friendly at haineshisway.com:

Search: query for 'I am very dissapointed to hear about your poor experience with the rottiserie chicken,i would love for you to give us another chance to correct our mistake. At the hamlet we strive to provide the best possible service, food quality, and consistancy.by the way, which of our 3 locatins did you experinced this? i hope to hear from you soon, and hopefully you give us anther chance. I would be happy to provide you with a complementary rottiserie chicken dinner.Adolpho Perez.'

I think I may just call my former surgeon and go back to him.  He may not be "the miracle doctor," but I was very pleased with him.  I just can't go on like this for over another month.  And that would be just the first appointment, who knows how long before the surgery?

Yes...after 3 back surgeries in 18 months.

They wound up fusing her lumbar spine.

Your former surgeon may not do this kind.  What is it the "miracle doctor" does?  Have you googled him?  Your regular doctor, or even the former surgeon if he doesn't do this, might push on your behalf to get you in sooner.  It doesn't hurt to ask.  VIBES YOU DON'T HAVE TO WAIT SO LONG!!!!!

Is it hereditary or coincidence?  Catching it early can make a difference.

I Googled the Hamlet and that name but didn't come up with anything.  The comment had no e-mail address or any way for me to respond, at least that I can see.

From yesterday

I posted

Quote from: Michael S on July 18, 2011, 09:22:57 PM
And talking of Cabaret

I've been listening to the 1993 studio recording of Cabaret.

DR ELMOORE orchestrated the four bonus tracks from the film: Mein Herr, Maybe This Time, Money, Money & Tiller Girls

ELMOORE replied
No, I did not score "Maybe This Time." I believe the wonderful conductor John Owen Edwards orchestrated that.

I reply

Went back to look at the booklet

You are credited with the four songs and John Owen Edwards is credited with "NSO Ensemble conducted by John Owen Edwards.

I won't tell anyone if you don't tell anyone.  ;D

That's because John Yap keeps lousy records and miscredits everyone; I've been credited for work by Danny Troob, Ralph Burns has been credited for my work, etc. I worked on the CABARET recording while I was in LA mixing something with BK, possibly "Lost In Boston 1 & 2."  I remember the work, but I am vague about the time.

John Owen Edwards scored "Maybe This Time," and I will not take credit for another's work. Don't believe everything you read.

Thank you for the clarification. I applaud your integrity

Some sad news from Portland:  Brooks Ashmanskas' father died here yesterday.  Sudden heart attack.  He was only 75.

Condolences to their family.  Terribly sad to hear this.
Ditto.
