I thought Medicare was free. Well, that really messes up my retirement plans.

I sure hope we get socialized medicine before I retire.

I hope you get your mind in working order before you retire. Have you spoken to your employers about your situation with health care when you retire?

Is it on the bookshelf? I put lots of stuff on the bookshelf.

My apartment is mostly bookshelves!

I am now enrolled in Medicare. The lady who signed me up was a beautiful lady named Christine Johnson. My health insurance has now dropped from $864/month to $152.

That's great!  Does it include both Medicare & a supplement insurance?

I am fully covered.

My food website, www.SavorSA.com, was selected by San Antonio Magazine as one of three must-read blogs in their Best of ... issue that was just released. That was nice news.

Congratulations, John!

Not feeling too great today so I did not exercise. Don't mind that part too much, since my legs were sore (have not missed a day in quite a few weeks). Just hope i feel better tomorrow. I feel an overwhelming fatigue. Really hope i'm not getting sick.

TOD:

Hmmmm....looking at Mr. Beatty's credits I see that I have never seen a Warren Beatty film. I have, however, seen him in the TV series THE MANY LOVES OF DOBIE GILLIS and an episode of ONE STEP BEYOND.

But, out of those I still have no favorite.

Mike, trust me.  Rent HEAVEN CAN WAIT.  It is a wonderful and very funny film.

Good morning, all! I slept very well and I'm glad I did because I have a busy day today.

I've looked at all the chairs in my apartment; no glass beside any of them, DR JRand60! This is one of the weirdest experiences i've ever had. What I'm hoping is that in a fit of mental distraction I took it down to the basement with the trash and tossed it by accident. I'm coming to the conclusion that it is not in this apartment any longer.

DR elmore - Is it possible you never had that glass of water in the first place? ;)

It was soda, and I think DR JRand60 is possibly right about its being on the floor. I just cannot find it. And, yes, I had it. I know how many glasses I have had.

Perhaps Cilla's watch is on your floor somewhere, and your glass is in her second bathroom?

My break is over.  I must go pack.  Tomorrow we leave Yogi & Craig guarding the house.  Note I put Yogi first cuz nobody is messing with Craig or the house with crazy Yogi around.

We are going to a wedding in Lake Arrowhead & then taking Sherlock to play on the beach in Carmel.  I don't know if I will be able to post during our travels, if not I'll be back next month.

I am watching the Seattle Mariners play the New York Yankees.  In New York.  And they are about to have a rain stopage.  And in Seattle it is sunny and 74.  What is wrong with that picture?

I cannot believe that it is only Tuesday.  Of course, time has slowed to a crawl ever since I got my appointment for August 25!

You have a date! When I as waiting back in 2004 tp see a surgeon, one of the kind receptionists said, when I complained about how far away my appointment was, "call occasionally and see if we've had anything open up from cancellations." I think that actually got me in earlier than scheduled.
